Ink & Water Tattoo

My husband and I got a couples tattoo here. The place is neat , the tattoo artist was quick with his work and it was done neatly. However I felt the person who serviced us could have done a better job at recommending the font size/style. I will treat it as our inexperience in choosing what we wanted. The service was good and will certainly go back!

I've been going to this and other Ink and Water locations for a few years now. They do a good job. Place is always clean, they're considerate and direct, scheduling and payment is made on your terms as much as possible. The artists are a great group and it's easy to get referred to another when you want something in a new style or under specific conditions. I keep thinking I'll try out some new studio sometime but I keep coming back.

Yesterday I had one of the most incredible experiences in a tattoo place I have ever had. First of all let me start with the physical space; it’s modern, clean, bright, large enough to social distance properly and designed beautifully. The equipment is modern, the bathrooms are clean, and free beverages are provided to customers. LOVED IT. The best part were the people though, everyone was so awesome and fun, and the atmosphere is electric. Kelly who did my first session for a quarter sleeve is a gifted artist and is meticulous with her work. I will post a picture once both sessions are done. I am excited to come back to finish!

I have never in my 32 years of living experienced such inconsiderate service. I’m covered in tattoos and I have actually been to Ink and Water’s old location on Bloor twice, which were positive experiences (those were with other artists). But this time was horrible. I actually left speechless because of the initial shock.I booked with Christina, who is clearly a newer artist. Fine, this actually didn’t bother me. I spoke to her over Instagram and made it quite clear that I needed a weekend appointment because I have a baby at home, making it difficult for me to leave during the week. After making the necessary arrangements to make sure my son was cared for, I arrived early for my 1pm slot. After waiting for about 30 mins, I’m then advised that the tattoo wouldn’t be possible today because… get this… SHE FORGOT HER TATTOO GUN AT HOME.How does one do this? I do not know. It’s like being a graphic designer and forgetting your computer. How can you so carelessly stroll into work both late (she was also late for the appointment, but this honestly wouldn’t have been a big deal for me) and unprepared, and just not care? I received not the slightest bit of consideration or an apology from the artist, who seemed to be hiding from me the entire time. From how it looked, she made the person at the front desk do her dirty work for her. How unprofessional.The only reason I’m giving you guys 2 stars is because the person at the front desk was very pleasant, understanding of where I was coming from, and refunded my $200 deposit, as I clearly won’t be coming back.Listen, I can’t expect everyone to empathize with those who have to make arrangements for infant children left at home. I get it. Not everyone will be a parent. But what I can expect is for my time to be just as respected as the next person’s and I don’t think it was taken seriously. As an artist, you have a responsibility of facilitating a positive customer experience on behalf of the studio you’re at. This is all it takes to tarnish a reputation.

I haven't had the pleasure of getting a tattoo from ink and water yet, but I did visit with my sister in law who did. The shop is very clean and all the artists are super talented. Her artist (Aidan) did a fantastic job. They specialize in really intricate black and grey work. I'd recommend it for sure and will definitely consider it for my next tattoo.

I was so lucky to be able to receive an apprentice tattoo with Yuki and omg - she's AMAZING. I would highly recommend her to anyone.She's gentle and kind. Has the cutest English accent and she's on point with her work. The shop is clean and everyone is really nice.**This is after 2 sessions! It's not finished yet!**

Amazing artists, they were kind and easy to work with. Highly recommend coming to this shop for a great tattoo!

I come from Peterborough, ON and always go to Ink & Water. Excellent facility with some seriously top notch artists!

The first time I went to Ink and Water on Yonge Street was to get a script tattoo by Gabriela, a visiting tattoo artist from Brazil. I loved it! Hoping to see her again in August.The second time I visited the shop I was getting a custom tattoo by resident artist Alex D. I really loved the outcome of the tattoo. Alex is an amazing artist and person. I have a lot of tattoos from different places and artists and I have to say Alex's technique is amazing, didn't hurt at all! Highly recommend him.I gave the shop 4 stars because there is no where to put your things, the benches wobble and are uncomfortable and the flourescent lighting (which is everywhere) hurts my soul.Other than that, the staff was super friendly and they offer free refreshments.

Fede is my favorite tattoo artist in the city. She not only is professional and an incredible artist, she is patient and super knowledgeable in her craft. Trust that you can give her your idea and she will perfectly deliver your vision with her unique style.
