JC Bradley Jewellers

Feb 9/2023 I was in JC Bradley Jewellers to have a ring made into a pendant and a 14kt gold chain repaired. I was dealing with Richard while he carefully examined the gold chain with a little magnifying like lens. He spent time to show me areas of wear and told me my options for a replacement clasp. We discussed if the chain was worth repair, which Richard agreed it could easily be repaired and worth it. All in all with the ring pendant and chain the cost was just over $200, $120 +/- was for the chain repair. I went a picked up the chain a few weeks later and found out it had been shortened. After rereading the request the sales lady apologized for the error and had the goldsmith attach the shortened links back to the chain, took about 10 min. I left happy. In approx. two weeks I awoke from my sleep to find the chain had broken, close to the clasp - I brought it in and the lady at the desk suggested I leave it with them and she would have the chain repaired free of charge. I picked up the chain in 1-2 wks and again was happy. Well just last week, early May I awoke again to a broken chain. I returned back to JC Bradley jewellers and explained my concern to a sales lady and showed an area where the chain looked like it would break again soon. I explained how important the ring pendant was to me and would like the chain repaired properly. I explained how during the first visit Richard had spent time examining the chain and showing me areas of wear that needed to be repaired and my chain would be good to go. The lady said that each solder repair of 14kt gold was worth $50 and she went to get Richard to discuss my concerns. This day was May 4/23 Richard quickly looked at my chain with bare eyes this time, and informed me this chain is worn so bad that it is not worth repairing. He said they repaired it free of charge last time just to be nice but wasn't worth it this time. Now being only 3mths from my first visit, I wonder how a 14kt gold chain can wear so fast?? To go from well worth repairing ($120 +/-)to not worth repairing I was shocked. I explained this to Richard but he insisted it was not worth repairing and that they already had repaired it once for free. If I had known that my repaired( by JC BRadley) 14kt gold chain would/could go from good to too worn in 3mths I would not have spent over $120 on it. That $120 would have went towards a new chain - which now JC Bradley will NOT get the sale or any other business or recommendations from me. They DO NOT stand behind their work, when their work and recommendations fail they just toss you to the curb. I strongly recommend getting other opinions/quotes from other jewellers first, I wish I had, especially before trusting JC Bradley jewellers professional recommendations. I defiantly would NOT do or Recommend JC Bradley Jewellers for any business.

I worked with Richard to enhance my 25 year old engagement ring by adding a hallow around my solitaire and incorporating some yellow gold. I could not be happier with how my ring turned out, highly recommend! Thanks again Richard!

I have been dealing with JC Bradley Jewellers for a few years now recommended to me by a neighbour who is meticulous about who she chose for her jewellery repairs and purchases. Richard and staff are very helpful. I had a ring, and for sentimental reasons, did not want to lose the original style. Richard came up with a perfect solution to have my ring redesigned with a wider band and I am very happy with the results. The one suggestion when having repairs or reconfiguration of a ring is to be patient"when it comes to when your item will be completed. I am very satisfied with this jeweller. Thank you again."

I read all these reviews about the wonderful custom ring work JC Bradley has done for others. My project was completely botched, and a piece of jewellery that meant alot to me was dismantled, the result is a ring that has not one bit of my old rings in it and no good explanation of what happened. Totally heartbroken, we place a v high level of trust in jewellers when they work with pieces that have significance to us. Chantelle is really wonderful but the quality and accuracy of the work done by the jeweller behind the scenes was terrible! Dont take anything that matters to you here!

JC Bradley has a very well deserved fantastic reputation for quality products but more important is the customer service and after care that they provide. I had previously only been in for watch maintenance and repairs which was always top notch. I was in shopping for an engagement ring and Chantelle was able to customer tailor an ring that far surpassed my expectations. She was able to inform me and make the appropriate recommendation after selecting multiple diamonds and I could not have been happier with the result. I recently returned to purchase wedding bands and the experience was once again nothing short of amazing.Having people who listen, care and truly are dedicated to their craft is rare but Chantelle, Richard and the entire team at JC Bradley are a pleasure to deal with.
