Mariner Auctions offers some reasonable deals but that's only if you are willing to risk inconvenience. Many of the electronics listed on their website have faulty batteries, untested digitizers, and faulty computer components. The fact that you have to wait up to two weeks or longer for a refund is inexcusable. Further, the company writes that there is a 14 day return policy but it is worded around the day of the auction and not the day of the pick up. This is intentionally misleading. Many people will not notice that subtle difference and will have to learn through trial and error - this means lost money. Further, all or most of their items are used and go for near retail prices PLUS the predatory 30% (15% tax and 15% buyer's premium - there is no reason the buyers premium has to be this high!). Do not buy electronics here for higher than half their retail value. You take a huge risk in dealing with a very, very inconvenient waiting time for your money.

I've participated in at least a dozen of Mariner's auctions. The staff who fulfills the sales are friendly, fast and make an awesome team. Make sure you thoroughly read the descriptions of any items before you bid on them. The descriptions are honest, and will point out any flaws, defects or elements that an item might be missing. Most items that I've received have been exactly as described.

Friendly, professional and engaged team here. Staff is very courteous, and I've gotten some high end items for well below retail value here. Read the title + description well when bidding, and check your items as soon as you receive them, if there are issues they will refund them. There is a wait time for refunds unfortunately due to how the banks work apparently, but if you follow these general guidelines you will have minimal issues with this company and save a lot of $

Great items if you know the prices and what you're buying. Friendly people however you should check your electronics thoroughly asap, I really wish they had someone who does this.Somewhat disappointed I got this motherboard at this quality, the origins are vague so you're going in blind.

Use the service for a while, you will see where the issues are. Read some of the 1-2-3 star reveiws. They are pretty much bang on.Staff is great, aside from the one sour lady. Haven't seen her much, thankfully.I would suggest, if possible, to check your items before you leave their paking lot. I have had to return many items because they were not functional or not as described in lot description.It is possible to get a good deal on items, but there must be lots of folks who are sore losers and will pay above retail to win"."

I just needed to say that I am overly pleased with the customer service here at Mariner auctions. The employees are very sociable and extremely helpful every visit to the warehouse. The owner comes out and speaks with us and seems to be a very humble man, very sociable and one would never know that he owns this growing business. I recommend anyone to jump on board and sign up for their auctions. I honestly can't say one negative comment about anyone that works for this company as they all are very helpful and friendly individuals. I have no trouble dropping a five-star rating after dealing with them for over a dozen times.

I strongly suggest going to pick up in person and plan on it taking a while. I have had issues 4 different times with shipping, boxes going to the wrong address, missing items, being charged twice for shipping, and being lied to that my box was shipped only to find out a week later that it’s still at the auction house.I have reached out to the owner, I was promised a response once he “looked into it” and never got an email back.I currently have a MIA box that I’ll be calling about Monday bringing my shipping issue total to 5.I want to support local, but I think it’s time I give up on shipping.

Always friendly and helpful staff! Great choices on their auctions and instore goods. Their online auctions are great, especially when they are livestreamed. Fun and exciting to bid on and sometimes win an item! I have never had to return an item so that speaks to the quality of goods they carry.

The tax is one thing but the greed of the buyers premium is uncalled for when your buying loads of returns. 15%and 15%not so cheap anymore .nothing but greed .surprise surprise with greed from the rich . Watch what you buy from here.so you say you pay your workers from the commission. Y not when your buying loads don't you pay them out of what you make on these loads .the 15%percentage buyers premium is absolutely extra money on top of what your bring in. The 15 percent is not needed other than to make more money.. it would make it more easier for me and many others to buy from you .take the 15 % off and you would get more people buying and less people would be complaining. because of the broken stuff there are many returns. there taking the chance that it works and everything is fine with there purchase .after saying that in my eyes being returns already there absolutely should not be 15% and again you are buying the loads . I would be absolutely happy to change my rating and give you a 5 but again greed to make the most money possible with some of your return policy a bit sketchy.
