Such a chilling story… watching the 30 minute video and then walking to the mountain and seeing it all made me so heartbroken to know how many people died there! The staff and atmosphere was amazing too!

My first time visiting Crow’s Nest Pass and I’m enjoying learning all the history around me. The Centre is very informative and has many educational exhibits.

The Frank Slide Interpretive Centre is a great museum to stop at when passing through the Crowsnest Pass area. The museum itself is very well done and really focuses on the impacts of the slide to the town and the individual people affected by it. It is cool that you can pick up receivers to hear audio clips describing their experiences. The displays are also incredibly informative and well put together. A great place to learn. There are also a lot of great views to be had outside and from on top of the centre. The only downside is that the staff were very pushy about wanting you to go to the films being shown in the theatre. Maybe this was just my experience, but I wasn’t pleased with the insistence of one staff member.

The Staff there was exceptional. Knowledgeable and personal. Will go again in the summer so we can explore the hikes more.

The center is totally worth it. It takes about 1.5 hours as it includes two short films in a nice theatre. Kids has lot of fun as there was a lot to learn, great stories, kids coloring station ample parking & washroom and the best part is the amazing view of the whole slide & turtle mountain from the centre. Check out the images/videos I have added & follow for more.

Obviously closed due to COVID but I’m really looking forward to it all being open again so we can come back and enjoy the experience. I remember coming here years ago on a school trip - and it being super memorable and a cool experience. My husband had never been here before so I’m hoping we can experience it all together soon.

Stunning displays and views! This centre is laid out in such a way that you always feel like you are looking outside. They have a beautiful path you can hike on outside, just be aware that it starts out fairly accessible (wide, well maintained but with a gravel surface) and transitions to uneven gravel steps and steeper slopes, until it finished with a “trail” hike back up (narrow dirt foot path with roots along a steep slope). You could always turn back and go to the wider path. This isn’t a knock against the path - I personally thought it was beautiful and nice to see all the different types represented in one adventure, however if you have mobility challenges it concerns be aware ;)

Frank Slide, known as Canada's deadliest rockslide, is an awe-inspiring natural wonder. The sheer scale and power of the slide leave a profound impact on visitors. Witnessing the aftermath and learning about the tragic event adds to the experience.

Beautiful place with an amazing sad story to visit even in cold winter weather.Very nice and welcoming staff.I would also like to specifically appreciate Henry’s efforts as a wonderful guide! He is highly informative. Especially his historical insights gave us true essence of this beautiful city.If I go there for the second time it would be only because of him.

This is a lovely historic site to visit. It is a natural masterpiece showing the handiwork of God the master creator. Lovely sight and and view, a great place for relaxation and with lots of parking and seats and table for mini family picnic. It's always a delight to be here and connect with nature and hike the trail.
