Terry Beech office assisted us with our kids passport renewal follow up as we have been waiting for over 6 months after passport submission. Navigating through IRCC's processes and requirements can be extremely stressful, particularly during these days of long turnaround times. Fortunately, there are the amazing people at this constituency office to help. Everyone we dealt with were supportive and helpful but I especially want to thank Melanie for her kindness and patience as my family dealt with a recent immigration challenge. My wife and I applied for the Canadian passports last year, August. But, even after six months of waiting for our passports to come through, we did not receive any updates from the passport office. In November, when we called the passport call centre, we were told our files should be processed soon. Once again after waiting for few months, we were still not receiving the passports. Then, when we called again in January, the next year, we were told that our files should be processed within a few days. At this point, my wife and I were urgently needing the passports for an international travel. When we expressed our concerns during the call with passport centre, the agent assured us that the passports will come within a few days. Even after weeks of waiting, we were still not getting the passports, and when we called the call centre once again, we were told again to just wait without any promises. At this point, we were very frustrated with Service Canada for misstating the truth about our passport applications many times. So, we reached out to our MP Terry Beech's office and expressed our concerns with Service Canada on how they were mishandling the passport applications. Melanie from the office helped with our case with both compassion and professionalism. She called Service Canada on our behalf and expressed our concerns. After Melanie reached out to Service Canada, our passport files were processed immediately, and we received the passports within three days after Melanie called Service Canada. We also received apologies directly from Service Canada as well. My wife and I are so thankful and so grateful for the assistance that we received from Melanie. We are also so thankful for our MP Terry Beech for representing the citizens' distressed concerns and holding our Government accountable. Many Thanks!
