Paul's Your Independent Grocer Vanderhoof

I am sorry to say that this store has gone downhill since it was Jim's Ind. We always counted on his prices being lower than at the other V'f grocery store. Not so anymore. We counted on a larger variety. Not so any longer. The changes and appearance are not to our satisfaction so therefore, we, as 6 individual families, all related, now shop mostly at the the other store.There were also other problems with cleasiness when it was Jim's, specially in the bathroom; fecies on the wall, that remained for days. I don't know how clean these are now for I haven't been. Jim did not respect covid protocol so did not respect most of his clients. Although no fans of Brian, the butcher and anti masker, the meat counter was way better than it is now. Durring Jim's time, some pig had butted a cigarette in the pizza shelf...disgusting. I had to report it but could no longrr buy their local pizzas. A worker should have noticed this before a client.Lastly, Vanderhoof needs a more reasonably priced store like No Frills. Thank you for listening to my comments. A disappointed friend.

Would like to get contact info for store owner. Absolutely disgusted with the new lady managers conduct and treatment of , until now, loyal, customers. When asked for her bosses contact info , she said his name is Paul and if you don’t like how your being treated , you don’t need to shop here. Wow. If anyone knows how to contact Paul , the information would be greatly appreciated.

Self checkout was clean, went in and got what I needed fast. No hustle.

Great place to get groceries and other items with lots of selection and friendly staff.

Never let you spend your points you saved. Had 20 dollars cashier wouldn't let me use it towards my purchase. Self checkouts always closed forcing you to go to the cashiers that are too busy chatting with each other to help the customer. The store is really dirty and disorganized. Price gouging compared to Burns lake superstore or Prince George Superstore I kid you not. Carts scattered everywhere so it is tough to find a parking spot.Outdated coupons on the thing near the door so don't bother. And customer service desk hides in the back office or takes their time.Won't be coming back.Will go to Prince George for my shopping needs.

They almost always have the things I want and ha e a far better selection of varieties of geoceries than we do in FtStJames.

I cannot believe in this day and age that customer service is this poor. Not only can you stand there looking around for people to actually do their job but you can be completely ignored while the actual employees are, on their phones, trying to figure out who they can date, picking their nose, standing around looking lost.This has got to be the worst run YIGS I have ever had the misfortune to be near

Surprisingly broad selectionof ethnic foods, and really fresh buns!

It's basically the same as The Great Canadian Superstore in everyday but the name, you can find what your looking for with ease food-wise, staff are helpful if you need assistance with anything.
