This restaurant is way overrated. Not even an authentic Korean restaurant. No appetizer is provided and the cooking is very greasy, especially the fried chicken. I felt quite nauseous after eating it. The udon was OK, average. The service was not good, they should have hired more servers.

Personally the best Korean food in Waterloo. Service is good and the food is delicious. takoyaki is crispy and the sauce is on point. fried dumplings are juicy on the inside. calamari is more greasy than I like. pork bone soup is a perfect combination of meat, veggies and spices. Bossem is clean and tender with a delicious dipping sauce. One of the customers was telling the cashier the fried chicken was the best they’ve had so I’ll order that the next time. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

Very good Korean restaurant. I and church friends ordered pork soup, tofu soup, pork cutlet, cheese pork cutlet, chicken wings, yulingi, sweet and sour pork and etc. All was delicious. Good memory!

Very good service. Food was also tasty although it didn't fill me up as much as I was expecting. They give free Korean side dishes as starters, but the portions are very small so we had to get it refilled several times. Side of rice is also quite small.

I don't normally review restaurants, but I went there today for my weekly Gamjatang for lunch and they had a sign saying they were permanently closed. I am super bummed out to hear this because it was a fantastic restaurant with big portions, awesome service, and my favorite Gamjatang ever. Me and my friends are shocked that they are closed - I try to go right as they open for lunch just because by 12:30 it starts getting a bit busy, every day. I've been going weekly for months and this closing seems very abrupt. I hope all is well with the owners and hope maybe they are opening in a more rent-friendly location, because otherwise that would be a big loss.

This is a must try if you're looking for authentic Korean cuisine. The food here is amazing and priced very well. The service was great! Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. UKI is now one of my go-to restaurants whenever I am in town.

I have no been twice and each time has been amazing. The food is great and service is friendly. Restaurant is quite small so each time I have gone there has been a wait list for tables. First time I went we did not receive banchan (side dishes) which I am used to when I go to a Korean restaurant. Second time there was banchan so I’m not sure if you get them based on what you order. First time I got seafood yaki udon which was loaded with seafood and vegetables. Second time I got budae jigae which was filled with hot dogs, sausage, noodles, rice cakes and more.

Very delicious authentic Korean food in Waterloo!! Service was great, they offered me refills on the side dishes. Definitely worth a try if you’re on King St.

A very nice and calm atmosphere for a restaurant in uptown Waterloo. A large variety of both KR/JP food that is well prepared. A bit on the pricier end with decent portions. Service is nice and relatively fast.

The fried chicken is the cheapest of any place I've seen and the portions are good too but the taste is very bland.
