Best Western Plus Brandon Inn

When I arrived they didn't have the room type I booked. I was not happy at all. When I called to book it was available, then when I got there, they said someone was already in the room. After I expressed my frustration they gave me the room type I requested but not for the entire stay. Since I had to switch rooms I just went to another hotel. There were issues with the room also. The kitchen sink was so small that you couldn't fit the dishes in to wash them. They were nice big plates but not easy to wash in the small sink, and they are heavy glass, so not easy to manage when soapy. The cookware, cutlery and dishes were not clean, so I had to wash before use. I realize this is the fault of previous guests, but they should be checked. As I recall, the plate was too big to turn in the microwave also. The night table and other surfaces were not cleaned. There was hard caked on something or other on them. I was also told that housekeeping is not allowed to enter your room without permission, so you need to request housekeeping. Many hotels are still using covid as an excuse to cut back on staff and save money. Best western isn't the only one. The shower didn't drain properly, so the dirty water was pooling at my feet.There was no fruit in the breakfast room at all. They did have some hot breakfast items, as with many hotels, and a number of pastries.I stay in best westerns a lot and usually have a better experience.Heather at the front desk did what she could to help, and I appreciated her efforts, but the entire situation was frustrating.

The customer service was great. The breakfast was excellent! Our kids enjoyed the pool/water slide/sauna and hot tub. The coffee and tea that was offered was delightful!

GREAT place!! VALUE above and beyond. Fantastic service and wonderful Breakfast!! Would highly recommend to any traveller!! Way to go Best Western. BEST place I have stayed in years!

Rooms are spacious and clean... not sure why people are complaining about not having clean towels or rooms the staff clearly explains that they do not enter or clean the rooms daily unless requested and they do so right away when you ask them... pool was at a decent temp and hot tub was nice as was the jet tub in our room. Only complaint would be that if the pool could open one hour earlier in the morning at 8 instead of 9.

Rooms are very nice and clean. Pool area is also very nice and clean. The complimentary coffee machine in the lobby is amazing and breakfast differs from day to day which is nice.

I can't speak to the room or location yet but their pool was out of commission this weekend and they called to let us know and let us move to another hotel. That's great service and means we will be there next time!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL WITH YOUR HOCKEY TEAM. Staff are extremely rude. They expect guests to sit in their room only, they do not want anyone being in the lobby or hallway & won't let anyone sit in the breakfast room after 10am. They have security guards walking the halls making folks feel uncomfortable. They expect that any guests under the age of 16 to not be anywhere in the hotel without a parent beside them (yes, a 14 year old kid can't go down for breakfast or sit in the lobby without their parent standing at their side). Our room wasn't cleaned once in 3 nights. Breakfast was terrible, no food, dishes were completely empty each day with 15 to 20 people standing in line waiting. Hotel staff was very rude, except for the maintenance guy with tattoos, he was friendly and always being a good host. Stay away from this hotel if you have kids or are going to Brandon with any sort of youth team. The manager, Connie Wilson, is extremely rude and it was obvious that the rest of the staff follow her lead.

All good. Clean and well maintained room. Breakfast area is clean and a nice breakfast with cereal bars and such to go. Need to keep an eye on the fitness equipment some was not operating correctly

A bit nicer than the average roadside hotel. However, hotel needs to do a better job managing unruly, noisy children and parents.

Fantastic place for my family and I. We stayed there for almost a week and enjoyed the continental breakfast, coffee, pool (and hot tub), laundry and workout room.We happened to be here during a hockey tournament where the kids (and parents) were loud late at night, but that's more on the parents then the hotel.Staff was extremely friendly and available for help at all hours. Perfect place right off the highway!
