Not enough floor staff

I love Dollarama, which is why today's experience was such a disappointment. I popped in this morning to buy an umbrella. It was pouring rain and I had a 4 block walk to school in Red Deer so figured I'd be prepared.When I got to the parking lot and opened the umbrella, I came to discover it was broken and didn't open properly. This made for a pretty unpleasant walk.After school I went straight back to the store and fortunately it was the same cashier. When I explained the situation to her, I was given a straight No. No exchanges and no refunds.I knew they didn't do refunds, but to flat out refuse to simply let me have what I paid for seemed really outrageous to me. She did call the manager up, who also gave a flat Nope.I hardly would consider this an exchange if I wasn't even given the proper product I paid for in the first place. They took my money, so in my view, they have an obligation to give me something in exchange. Isn't that technically stealing otherwise? I'm a student with very little cash right now. Very disappointing service and policies.

Regular dollar store but plenty of product and service is good

This Dollarama exemplifies what it means to be a dollarama. There are products, there are, in fact, some staff and it is indeed, usually a dollar. I would go here if I were craving cheap chocolate, or if I was bored. I definately believe that this is a dollar store

Good selection and fair prices. Love the selection of name brand products for a discounted price. Buyer beware, no returns or exchanges!

Very friendly staff. I was short a few dollars for what I needed because it was just before payday and the customer behind me paid for the rest of the order so even the customers are friendly. Very good selection and very well stocked.

A great selection for partying on a budget. Lots of fun creative products as well as many day-to-day items. Even if you don't necessarily find what you're looking for, you'll probably leave with something you'll enjoy, without spending a lot to enjoy it!

Older women employee was very rude to me and my friend outside of the store, and did not let us in the store because of our age.she told us they had to many issues with people of my age in the past. whenever I used to go there I would constantly be monitored by the manager. staff is very rude would not recommend. Staff is always friendly, the store is very clean and organized.
