Shred-it

Because our homeowners' association office has been closed for over a year, we arranged for Shred-It to do a one time pick-up for our residents in the parking lot of our recreation centre. The event was well attended and much appreciated by many residents. Shred-It and their Driver did a great job - on time, friendly and efficient.

We contacted Shred-It for our personal shredding because we were familiar with the organization from a corporate perspective. The company was very responsive and provided a quote to do on-site shredding. We were given a deal" if we could be flexible as to when they came

Don't be misled by the average rating of 4.1 stars.... They used to get all 5s, but now it's mostly 1 star reviews. TL;DR: Avoid this company.For me: Services not rendered, impossible to reach to resolve billing issues, nonsensical web portal. I had good service from this company before it was engulfed by Stericycle. Since then the service has been beyond irregular - I receive notices that service was refused" when no one here spoke to a Shredit staff member. Phone support drops the line after 1 ring no matter which voice menu item you choose. The web portal says I now have an "invoice account" with an outstanding balance

Tuesday Dec 27th 2022 - Needed to dispose of approx. 5 bankers boxes of old corporation papers. Found it a bit confusing on where to park and who to see. When I did park, I went into the vestibule and began to read the signs on the door, I was told by an someone sitting in a chair I would need to wait as he can only help one person at a time. I was a bit taken off guard as he didn't introduce himself or say, I will be happy to assist you once I finish up with this person. Came across very grumpy. Once the gentleman ahead of me finished up, he rolled his eyes at me on the way by as to say Good Luck"Once it was my turn

Hands down the worst customer experience I have ever had. Equipment fails but yelling at the customer is not the answer, especially after I called the number and was told that the 6 Curity location was open for service today!

Absolute worst to deal with since their conversion to their new system. Haven't had a pick up in almost 60 days. All customer service outsourced to the Philippines, no one gets back to you for weeks. Completely disorganized. The cheapest around but I guess you get what you pay for. No point of charging only 25% of what the competition charges if they don't provide any service. Brutal. Forced to shop around for better!

If I could give them a ZERO , I would. They do not show up for their regular scheduled pick ups and it's up to you to call to follow up. Unless you are willing to pay an employee to sit on hold for a half hour each time , this may not be the service you want. Other issues I have had were the customer service portal they expect you to use , does not work properly and it took 2 months to get a key for our box. They missed last weeks appointment again , and I am currently on hold , trying to resolve it .( it's been 31 minutes and counting.) While I am on hold I am reading the recent Google reviews and regretting going with them. I would highly recommend researching other companies for all your shredding needs as they do not provide the service they promised.

Fast, friendly service. Would definitely use them for all my shredding needs.

We have had a contract with this company for over 5 years. Recently, they have not been coming on the regular schedule to empty our bin! We have not had a pickup since July. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone!!! They are totally unreliable these days.Your request for me to contact customer service is a joke!! I have done that 4 times, had 2 guaranteed confirmed pickups arranged, and still no one showed up. I even spoke with a supervisor who setup one of those guaranteed pickups, a lot of good that did.

It is a one man show when it comes to the reception. But the guy is very responsible and works hard.The company itself is still using very old technology.The employees though are nice people and very helpful.The images are from the garden outside. No paper or operation pictures out of respect for privacy.
