I visited in the summer so the area was bustling with tourists! Musicians are playing every other corner of the boardwalk. The umbrellas were out with the Bernard closed to cars. The scene was festive! Just what we need after the pandemic!

Beautiful park like area at the lake end of Bernard ave. A ton of people to watch. There is also a small beach access for dogs to get to play in the water. Usually a busker nearby playing something fun.

When our Rockies tour bus stopped near the Kelowna City Park we were immediately attracted towards this tall white sculpture besides the park and waterfront. The placard at the base of the forty foot tall fiberglass structure told us that this piece of artwork was created by R. Dow Reid, a well known local sculptor and was entitled 'Sails'. It was lowered into place by helicopters in October 1977. It has now become a beacon for attracting tourists to the waterfront.
