LUCKY SUPERMARKET

I used to like shopping here alot as they had good selection at a great price. Unfortunately this place has really gone downhill. Most notably and recently today, I experienced discrimination for being an English speaking, Canadian born Caucasian man. I was being assisted by a member of the staff until we were rudely interrupted by someone speaking Vietnamese to the staff member. She immediately went to help him and completely ignored me without a second thought or glance. I complained to the manager about this and the response i received was this happens" and he laughed while walking away.... I guess since I don't speak Vietnamese in Calgary I can shop here without being a second class citizen. Very disappointing and upsetting honestly. I will take my business elsewhere

It has a lot of different things, a very interesting market.

Love shopping here for Asian grocery, found more fruits and produce that superstore. They also have a bunch of products I've never seen before from south easth Asian. Definitely recommend a visit. More fruit option today, quite a nice selection.

Very good grocery store. If you decide to stop here for a meal, highly recommend Vietnamese spicy pork noodle soup (bun Bo hue) Number 6.

There are some ingredients that I can only get here so I find my self visiting frequently. However I have notice a downward trend in freshness of ingredients and irregular stocking of items. Just not a very consistent experience as a shopper

First time shopping at lucky supermarket. This one located near sunridge mall.I hardly ever shop at places like these. Once or twice a year. Unlike the other international markets, this one was a pleasure to shop in. It was not busy, the shelves were stocked with product, and there was lots of variety of products to choose from. It's very clean, and whoever picked out the flooring for the store did a terrific job. It's beautiful, it's not your typical store flooring & brings a nice feel to shopping. Overall, even though I live far away, I'd make the trip & come back again because it was a very nice experience there.

When our local H-Mart did not have the ingredients we needed to complete a recipe we drove over to Lucky Supermarket.From a food prospective I was thrilled with the selection of food items that they carry. They exceeded or needs and had all of the ingredients we could not find elsewhere.The bakery offers several types of breads and pastries to fit most people's desires.The deli offers many options and the street food counter is stocked with tasty options.

My new favorite shopping 'mall!' LUCKY SUPERMARKET is an Asian fusion market that has everything that a foodie could want. It smells very nice inside (unlike many other NE markets with foul smells). There is a variety of Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Philippine and Chinese foods along with Western culture staples.If you are a weird chef like me, then this is the place to shop! No holds barred food here from whole chicken to goat and everything in between. The variety and prices are wonderful! Not only do they offer live fish, they have all manner of proteins, ethnic foods, greens (both fresh, dried, frozen and canned) etc. They have a bubble tea bar, lunch counter, bakery and specialty cooked meat section (char sui, crispy pork, bbq chicken, etc.). If you want to sample the food, you can order and stay in their cantina area. There is plenty of handicapped friendly parking and Lucky is huge! The staff is always friendly and willing to help. Do yourself a favour and drop in. Also, weekly specials are on Fridays so take advantage of the cooked meat section! YUMMMMM!!
