Do you like to discover local history when you travel? The Grist Mill and Gardens at Keremeos is a great place to pick up the back story on this charming village. From it's inception way back in 1877, the Grist Mill was a hub in effect, where the local farmers would come to get any grain they had grown, milled. The water wheel still turns and is fascinating to watch spilling water back into the Keremeos Creek. It is full of charm and old world magic...tour the buildings including a lovely summer kitchen" and the lovingly curated gardens. The restaurant is very basic but delish. The parking fairly scant...but a very worthwhile stop...bring a picnic and travel back in time. They also offer amazing music events at this location!"

Wonderful gem of a place! We are so happy Google showed us this place. Perfect outing for a family with young children. Also pet friendly (on a leash)! Wonderful gift shop with fantastic locally made products! Easily could have bought more (and we bought a lot!) Friendly and easy going staff. Beautiful gardens (simple but lovely) Cannot recommend this place enough! Stop by if you have the opportunity!

This palce is truly a gem! Highly recommend visiting it. It was so great to hear about different historical varieties of wheat they preserve there and to see a functioning mill.

Beautiful place and everybody should go here at least once. Because you walk around by yourself without a guide the price is a little much. Had a great time though.

General - Wedding - Camping ReviewsGeneral review:Beautiful and interesting place to visit, especially in the summer months. Lovely gardens, interesting historical site, nice little cafe open for lunch (soup, sandwiches etc).Wedding location review:Would be an excellent location for. Rustic wedding ceremony and reception. They can accommodate about 100 guests in an outside venue, and perhaps 30-40 to have a small reception inside.Camping Review:The Grist Mill has 11 RV sites with full hookups for $30/night (w/reservation), $20 without, though it is a popular spot so I suggest reserving. Sites #1 and #11 most private, though you are still next to your neighbors. Creek runs behind the site. Wood burning firepits on site. Dogs ok. Tents / Tent trailers also ok.Free parking for one vehicle per site.Decent and clean Bathroom with hot water around the side of the main museum building for campers and visitors, but NO showers on site. Could wipe down wash/wash hair in bathroom / in a stall if you brought a couple of buckets and towel (one for soapy water and one for rising). Sani dump station in Keremeos but not hose to rinse drain spouts and drain line etc.Overall, a good multi purpose and aestheticically pleasing facility in Keremeos.See their website for more information.

A hidden gem for sure. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and the tour is fascinating. When we arrived the owner greeted us and was super friendly. We chatted for a bit before going exploring (see all the beautiful pics). This is one of my new favorite spots and I will be making it a regular stop for me when I am in town. The restaurant was not open so I now have something to look forward to for my next visit. Stop in and you won't be disappointed.

We went mid week, and it was such a beautiful, quiet place to visit. It was great to learn more of the history of the valley from the Miller- he seems to know every inch of the building and the history of the site. His enthusiasm was infectious, and I left with such appreciation for our time there. I highly recommend a visit.
