Egan Chutes Provincial Park
A great hiking trail for intermediate hikers to the rapids. High water due to spring melt was very exciting.

Amazing place. It starts off quiet. The water is still. As you go along the trail the water keeps flowing so smoothly until you reach the falls. The falls are beautiful! The most from the water hits your face ever so slightly and the sunlight just makes everything shine! I recommend these falls to anyone passing by. It’s worth it

A beautiful place, I enjoyed hiking there! It's not too big, with mostly easy hikes exept for the very last part immediately before the rapids/waterfalls, just a bit mire rocks. I found plenty of hemlocks, large white trilliums, American fly-honeysuckle, lonicera, hobblebush, white violet...I removed one star because of HORRENDOUS and a narrow road leading to the tiny place where you can park. If you have low-sitting car, you'd better find a parking outside, and walk to get there. Also there was a young family with two small kids who brought drone to operate there!Would be nice if a no drone" line was added to the poster with a list of prohibited items. . Because apparently you cannot rely on common sense anymore."

This is a beautiful park. There are several trails here. Check out the All Trails app for the details. There are no facilities here. At the end of the short trail you will find a couple of sandy areas perfect for swimming. Walk the trails carefully because there are many roots and rocks that can cause tripping. There are places that have steep drop-offs so care needs to be taken. Don't forget to carry your trash out! There are no garbage cans here.

Just a short easy walk less than 10 minutes to this beautiful falls. We can easily miss the narrow road exit if we didn't follow the map as there are no signs

Beautiful trail and falls, a little rocky towards the end. It says its a provincial park but there is no office or person, its just a trail leading to falls. Parking is very bad and our car scraped the parking lot from the bottom as its not made properly.

This was a great find after we were denied access to Petroglyph PP because it was too busy. I'm giving this one 3 stars because the only way you would know this was a park is if you wandered down a side rd and tripped over the couple of signs in the woods. The left side of the park gives you access to the first chute or Egan Chute". But no further. The right side of the park(other side of the river) gives you access to all three chutes. There are NO trail markers

This is the newest provincial park in the area however don’t let that fool you, it is NOT like the provincial park you’re used to. Just an FYI, I have lived here all my life. There are to separate entrances, one on each side of the river, both leading to different yet beautiful views if you know where to go. The East side is the nicer side to walk on if hiking is too difficult, however you will have to hike up to the lookout that is off the main trail. The west side is the side that will take you down to the chutes and small lake. This side is for hikers. The roads that lead into these trails (especially the west side) are extremely old pavement that is all bubbled & broken up so watch out if you’re in a low vehicle. They have not yet started charging for this park but now that so many tourists are staring to visit & with how much work the “park” needs this will likely change sooner than later. Please be safe here & DO NOT LITTER! Please RESPECT nature & our beautiful Egan Chutes if you chose to enjoy. Thank you.

Hard to find but that keeps visitors (and their garbage) to a minimum. Even a rudimentary map showing distance would be helpful. The map online shows the trail on the left but not the right and the map posted on site doesn't have distance so you have no idea how long the trail is. A few beautiful views but most of the trail is through the woods.

Great short hike was easy and great for people of all ages. We brought my grandparents 75 and 78 but they are both in great shape. Gets a little tough near the end of the falls. Not much parking and is only wide enough for one car to get by.
