Geza is a real gentleman.He is very kind and works with his heart.Recently I bought a Gerundino Fernandez 1976 flamenco blanca which needs a hard and time consuming professional work to come back to life .I believe he is a only person who can do it because this is a very delicate and elegant guitar which needs an elegant luthier to restore it .Although Geza is very busy and hardly accept new customers but when he saw me helpless accepted the work with confident.I have to wait about 6 month to get it but definitely worth it.Thanks Geza

I don't think enough people realize a master guitar builder, probablyone of the best in the world works and lives right here in Vancouver.If your mental picture is a custom Les Paul with five pickups and afinish that includes candy red paint with l e d lights , better cancel those plans to drop by the workshop..:.We live in an era where computer controlled machines turn out rather good Chinese built guitars at reasonable prices available everywhere.They will put anybody's name, famous or not so famous on theheadstock and ship them tomorrow afternoon.. God bless them all.Mr Burghardt has been at his workbench up to his socks in wood shavings for over fifty years now. He will tell you that he has recentlybecame able to make anything with his hands that his eyes can see.Think about that when you are in a six week boat building class or arean apprentice mechanic who will earn a full -on ticket in two more years.If you, like me, are spellbound by the sound of certain instruments likeguitars or cello or a bass, treat yourself to a taste of the tiny art community of luthiers and Canada's resident guitar Zen Master,Gera Burghardt.
