July 9th. 2023We decided to stop here for fries, we ordered two large crispy fries. When they called us saying our order was ready, they only had one large fry, we said we ordered two. She said she would make second one now. We waited, after 10 minutes or so she called and said order was ready. I went to window to get fries, I sit down open container and noticed it was not what I ordered. I took it back to window and waited for someone to come to assist me. She finally came and I told her this order is not what I ordered, she did not know what to do. After a few minutes she came back to window and asked me if I want my money back, at this point spouse was almost done with fries. I said yes, money back. Spouse had a few mouthfuls left, I had that. The girls just seem to want to chat and have fun and play with cell phones, than do their jobs correctly.It used to be a great place to get ice cream and food, now with the new place they are cheating you out of ice cream. I buy the flurries alot, now they are about half to 3/4full. They fluff the ice cream to the top of their cups, meanwhile you can feel the gap of no ice cream in the cup going down the cup.The food portions are smaller as well.Save your money and stop somewhere else.Very disappointing.

Staff are friendly. Service is reasonably fast. They have been doing a seasonal service here for decades, so they know their stuff.

Pretty much what you would expect for a “greasy spoon” type of place. Pretty basic. But the wait time and the prices… ouch! Waited 30 mins for our meals and it was just short of $40 for 2 people. I personally find that high for this type of food.

Alright, you want great food and a great deal? Just mosey on in here to this little gem! 3 piece of Hand dipped battered Haddock and fries...$14.99! MASSIVE! If your from Ontario, and you love Kawartha Diary, you'll love the ADL Diary ice cream here! Great tasting ice cream with multiple flavours, especially the salted caramel!

The Richmond Dairy bar has upped the ante as far as dairy bars go in my opinion. I had the chicken burger and it was fantastic. Toppings were fresh, the chicken itself was really, really good. The fries were also fresh. Service was good too.

Camping out in the rural areas east of Richmond, my son and I were put in a pickle when sky lightning struck a tree beside our tent. The arboreal giant cracked with a roar and fell down upon us, breaking both of our legs. I managed to free us from its grip with my trusty pocket knife, and we began to crawl towards human civilization.Although Cross River was nearest, I was aware of Richmond Dairy Bar and its reputation of excellence and superiority. I was certain that if we were to find aid, it would surely be here.I was not disappointed! The staff rushed out to gather us as we crawled towards them with our gnarled, useless lower halves. Immediately they implemented first aid training, before providing us with the life saving nutrition of milkshakes and hard ice cream. My son and I convalesced for three days and three nights in their establishment, supported throughout this trial with various dairy products of the utmost quality. Eventually we were collected by paramedics.I recommend the licorice milkshake! It is supreme!

A great spot to fuel up! With all of your favourites, homemade hand-pressed burgers and french fries! Hand dipped fresh haddock and chips! Loaded Works poutine! And then there is dessert! Soft and hard ice cream dishes, banana splits and Sundays and delicious cones dipped in a variety of coatings, chocolate, salted caramel, coconut OMG! Delicious!
