I signed up for tinnitus retraining therapy, found it made no difference, the devices kept breaking down, and I can't keep taking time off work to drop them off, I found there was little guidance and therapy to help manage the anxiety.spent over $4,000 for nothing. Social worker was nice but package only gave a few visits and the advice was mainly don't think about it"

***UPDATEDI want to personally thank Lidia, Janusz, Alicja and anyone else involved in my claim for doing the necessary work to get my WSIB claim accepted and to begin my treatment. I am optimistic their tinnitus treatment plan will work for me.*********My first appointment at this clinic was in August. I am having a terrible experience at this clinic. I suffered an ear injury at work and I am going through WSIB. It took them 2 months to write a recommendation letter to WSIB that was about 50 words.I basically went back and forth with the metro hearing and WSIB. WSIB notified me that my claim has been accepted for 10 days now and that the fax went through to this clinic. I have been calling and left a voicemail but they have not returned my calls nor do they even pick up my phone calls now.I will update this review if this clinic actually returns my calls. Very disappointed after reading mostly positive reviews.

Game changer for me. Thank you Metro Tinnitus. This therapy has been nothing short of remarkable for me. I developed Tinnitus 15 months ago.My left ear pulsates and my right ear in a steady buzzing.I have spoken to three ENT doctors and they all said there is no cure and Tinnitus is a very complex problem. Medical science does not yet have a cure. I have had an MRI and Ultra-sound - all showed no problems. I researched Bimodal Neuromodulation and Brain wave therapy. I even tried Acupuncture and Osteopathy. I went to several Audiologists who told me I had hearing loss. Apparently that will cause Tinnitus. They all recommended hearing aids that were programmed to mask my Tinnitus and gave me a pair of hearing aids as a trail run. Well, they covered up my Tinnitus when I was wearing them but as soon as I took them off, my Tinnitus came roaring back. Well that was not for me. It was exhausting and of course I was starting to get depressed. No cure, no relief, no hope. Tinnitus is a complex disorder and I understand how hard it is to treat.Let me back up a bit. I went to Metro after about a month. Alicja did a quick check and told me it is too soon for me to start treatment. No charge. She said there is a good chance it might go away but if it did not, come back in six months. I came back in six months and after meeting with Janusz and confirming my Tinnitus in both ears, he said to go home and think about this treatment. Well I came back and started treatment about seven months ago. In that short period of time I gave gone from 100% to 20% awareness of my Tinnitus. My Tinnitus is not completely gone yet but life is back to normal. Again a game changer.If you are suffering like I have been, try these folks.

I would suggest anyone considering going here to be cautious as some things about this place do not add up. I called to set an appointment for my Tinnitus but when I started asking basic questions things got strange. Their staff do not have any recognized qualifications, e.g. audiologist. I'm not sure how they can do a proper hearing test without at least an audiologist on staff. I have had 3 hearing tests done before and it's always been done by an audiologist as the equipment used is complex. I asked what treatments they provide and they said they would only discuss that after the assessment, which costs $190. Of course none of this would be covered by OHIP or any insurance company since nobody there has a recognized qualification. I canceled my appointment as asking for $190 upfront with no information about possible treatments and no staff with recognized qualifications seems unreasonable.

I am very happy and grateful for the services that Metro Hearing Clinic has provided me with this past year. The expertise of the therapist's has helped me tremendously. My healing with Hyperacusis and Misophonia has improved drastically with the clinics help. My tinnitus is not as loud and apparent as it once was and I continue to heal everyday. I strongly suggest to anyone who has issues with their hearing to come to this clinic for help, there is hope for you! The staff is friendly and always supports you. I would refer this clinic to anyone who really wishes to see results. I continue to look forward to working with the therapist's.

My experience with the clinic is very similar to that of Brandon Walsh and his review.There seems to be something off when you call them, as they refuse to give any information about the treatment unless you undergo their assessment, which is 260 dollars, not covered by OHIP. When I say no information, I really mean nothing - the receptionist, Lidiya, refused to even explain what Tinnitus retraining therapy is. The clinic is private, and I got a strong impression that it is setup as a money grabber, with the main source of income being that assessment session. No one should charge money for information on what they can potentially do. Considering that their assessment is a hearing test supplemented with a Tinnitus questionier, which is something that is likely done by anyone suffering from hyperacusis/tinnitus many times with them having the results of these test available to give to specialists, what we are basically paying for is just information on their therapy - an answer they should give without hesitation to let patients decide if they want to work with the clinic.Anyine suffering from Tinnitus will jump at any opportunity to get real treatment for it, and having this experience with this clinic was very uncomfortable as it felt like they are praying on people that are desparate for any sort of releif. Tinnitus is hard on mental health and many people will likely agree to pay 260, simply to have hope that something can be done. I will call again and try to speak with someone other then the receptionist, but this is my experience thus far. I hope its just a receptionist thats odd, and there is someone else I can talk to. Will update review.

This clinic improved my life!!!!! I suffered from Hyperacusis and Misophonia quite badly to the point where I never thought I’d be cured. I always wore ear plugs when I went out, because basic sounds were so painful to me, and I even avoided gatherings with friends and family in fear that I wouldn’t be able to handle being around noise. It made me frustrated and angry.Then I found out about Metro Hearing clinic and less than 2 years later, I’m basically cured!!!! Januz and his team are helpful and friendly and the treatment really works. It was totally worth investing in this treatment because it has changed my life!! I've been suffering from misophonia since I was a child. I saw numerous doctors over many years who would tell me they had never heard of such a condition before and had many unsuccessful treatments". With no help whatsoever I consulted the internet and found out that my suffering throughout the years indeed was an actual condition

After coming down with a bad case of hyperacusis accompanied bytinnitus, I desperately looked for help and seemed to be striking out everywhere...then I finally found the Metro Hearing and Tinnitus clinic. They were a Godsend.The benefits of their treatment were felt a few short weeks after beginning, and after a year or so my hyperacusis was completely gone, and Tinnitus discomfort has also been receding steadly.The clinic team is professional and courteous. I highly recommend this clinic

No information provided over the phone. No explanation for treatment given. No explanation on methods used. Receptionist on the phone says you have to pay $260 to make an appointment and come find out" how treatment works. Sounds like she couldn't care less. Some explanation without being baited into a paid consultation would be a bit more enticing. Some people just need to make a living
