Super 8 by Wyndham Trois-Rivieres

Power outage from a storm occurred shortly after we checked in. After waiting for 2 hours, and with no electricity, A/C or landline phone, we walked down 3 flights in a darkened stairwell to ask for a refund. Blond, middle-aged assistant manager was very argumentative, and worried only about their revenue" and definitely not willing to help in any way. Said it wasn't their fault. Of course I knew outage wasn't their fault

The room was really nice and the pool and hot tub too.When we arrived we were early compared to the hour it was given to us to access our room, but we sent a message to ask if we could let our luggages in the luggage room. They said that it is ok, it won't be a luggage room though but a reception room locked by key. But when we arrive the woman at the reception was despicable, not welcoming at all and when we asked for our luggages she seems to not be aware and not know what to do. I mentioned the reception room and she then reluctantly open it for us. When we left and thank her she almost ignored us almost despising us...An other woman later was really nice though!But the one when we checked out (not sure but it might be the same than when arrived) was training a new recrue and almost ignored us, we had neither information about the reimbursement of our room deposit nor invoice for the stay.We had to choose in advance some specific things for the breakfast such as yogurt, bread, eggs, fruits and oatmeal. The choice was limited and we couldn't have everything only 3 of them I think.Then the morning we ask for our selection that they kept behind the reception desk. We had the access to some disgusting fruit juice at a machine and coffee on an other. There was toasters for the bread and some jam, peanut butter, butter etc. But that's all. Nothing to prepare oatmeals (it was mentioned use water/milk then to microwave). There was milk but those little dose to put in coffee so, either you use 5 or 6 in your oatmeal (not really easy nor ecological), or you use water, and there was absolutely no microwave. We asked for soft-boiled eggs but we had hard-boiled eggs which were strangely elastic.Yogurts were with random fruit flavors, but we weren't asked which one we liked, we expected them to be plain, so these flavors were an additional bad surprise...It might have been the worst hotel breakfast I had in my life.

Our first time staying at a Super 8. Great value for the money. It's the first time ever staying at a hotel with a pet. It worked out great. The area for pets is separate from the other guest so there is no issues. The staff was friendly and helpful. The thing that really surprised us was the breakfast. First of all, you have choices. Second, a number of those were healthy choices. To top it off everything was fresh and tasty. Next time we travel, we will stay at a super 8.

Family vacation driving through Quebec. We stayed at the Super 8. Never again!I refuse to stay at any super 8 now.We got in late. Didn’t get to our room until around 10:30 it had been a long day we went right to bed. Got up early had breakfast and left.Curtains were closed when we entered the room. Room was ok. It did the trick for a quick rest on our road trip.They ran out of coffee during breakfast. And the muffins were dry like biting into saw dust.The following day at around 3pm I got a message from the hotel that they were keeping my security deposit as me broke the ac.I asked for proof. Couple days later I got a pic of an ac. Yes it was damaged but there is no physical way it happened during our stay.No one went near it at all! I asked for proof it was inspected before our stay and that they prove it happened during my stay. I’m still waiting for that.I stay in hotels about twice a month every month and have never been so disappointed in a stay.If you stay here inspect the room first. Open the curtains. Take pictures so you have proof. I learnt the hard way.

It is the perfect place for a stop along the way to your destination. Close to the main thoroughfare. Restaurant choices close by were limited. Plan another choice for breakfast than the provided box one. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Stayed a night during a motorcycle trip. The rooms were clean. We had a jacuzzi in our room but never used it. We used the hot tub in the pool area instead. Pool was heated and that slide was crazy fun! The boxed breakfast was a tad disappointing. Affordably priced, would go for a one night stay with friends or even take the family.
