Hertz Car Rental - Saint Catharines - 414 Ontario Street HLE

You can’t set this location as your return location, and since there are no other hertz anywhere near here… that means this is basically completely unusable for anyone in st catherines. Wish they would fix this, really liked renting from here in the past.

This place is a disgraceful ripoff. Pre-booked a car two weeks in advance, needed the car for 8AM not one employee showed up to work until after 8AM, then proceeded to say that they needed a credit card for a $400 damage deposit, even though I paid for their extra insurance, then they still kept $70.00 of my money and left without a car. Customer service is non existent with this company and specifically with this location. Would have stuck with Enterprise Car Rental if they would of had vehicles available, but guess they didn't have any cause people actually rent from them cause the service is better. MINUS 5 Stars if I could. Take a hike HERTZ!

All very friendly and helpful. Had to wait for the car I rented to get an oil change and they kept apologizing and gave a discount for the wait. Will rent again from them

We had a car accident in Montreal on Friday with the full coverage. Hertz took more than ten hours to provide us a new car so we couldn’t be back before the weekend closing. They charged us two days additional !!! This is the worst car rental.

You can’t beat the price for renting a car for a day, especially with unlimited kilometres. Car came out very clean. The gentleman in the office was very personable and answered all my questions. Watch when you come and pick up/drop off your vehicle as the paying kit is very full. Overall service was awesome and quick. Definitely lots of vehicles to choose from. Rented online from kayak. Got insurance. Hertz could not see I got the insurance and asked for it. If you get it in line. That is enough. Thanks for the great service. Will rent a veggie here again.

Renting a car with the full coverage for more than 300$ and having nothing covered when we had an accident, taking more than ten hours to provide us a new car, charging us 2 additional days when it was their fault if we hadn’t the new car to be there on time : run away as far as possible from Hertz !!!!

Car was an okay price. The features were not what we requested. Staff almost didn't rent to us because we asked to see what we were signing and then we got accused of not trusting them. When it's not about trusting him it's about reading and seeing the pictures prior to signing.

Terrible experience! I will go over both the good and the bad because I am fair- we got the car fairly quickly it was in ok condition and almost a full tank of gas all pros when renting a car. Now we had to extend our trip about 8 days past the return date and they ended up charging us triple the daily rate we paid for the original rental! With no prior notice even though we had let them know we are going to be late! Customer service was zero help at all i was on hold for over an hour. Enterprise gives much better service! Save the hassle and rent elsewhere.

NEVER rent a car from here! They provided me with a car with a flat tire and I took it on the highway which was terrifying so brought it back immediately to replace the car. Now they are saying it was my fault almost two weeks after the rental was returned and telling me I have to pay for the replacement. The agent failed on his inspection not me, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

Very bad experience with them. Even if you buy all insurance and you have an accident … no arrangements. They apparently didn’t know the process to follow after an accident, it was so hard to contact them and have information. And when we ask for another car, it takes so long, we have to give the car back at the same time (no arrangement even if we had an accident and THEY give us another car at 8pm on Friday in Montréal). Above all we have to pay two other days because of course they are closed on weekends and they absolutely wanted us to give the car at noon saturday in Saint Catharines (that was not possible because of the snow and the fact that we were tired and shoked after the accident).
