Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Restaurant right in parking lot and tavern right next to hotel. Clean rooms.

I found this place very comfortable. The rooms were wonderfully clean; the housekeeping staff does an excellent job here. The kitchenettes are very well-equipped and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The WiFi was a bit slow when the hotel was full, though.

I work here at the Derrick motor inn. And enjoy the staff very much. The people are very welcoming. We do our best to keep the rooms nice and clean for our guests and give a positive attitude when coming to work

Incredibly clean, very friendly staff and we couldn’t get over the immaculate decor. While the decor is clearly old it was all like brand new. Carla was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We had an unexpected stay and our dog was accepted without question. Fantastic nights sleep, the bed somehow holds you firm while enveloping you in softness. Highly recommend this Inn, very well done. Pic is the bathroom tile, while from the 70s it looks new.

Great hotel for the price. Nothing fancy but the rooms were kept clean and the beds were comfortable enough. The only issue was that the wifi was nearly unusable, if you have a long stay ahead I would bring a hard drive with TV shows on it since Netflix isn't going to work. Next time I find myself in Swan Hills I will be certain to choose the Derrick Motor Inn again.

Very lame I asked to check out a little later on the day it was time to leave and the lady said it was fine she did not tell me I would be charged for a full day as if I was staying for 3 nights I only stayed for 2 nights checked out at 12 the next day straight B.S she actually did not mention nothing about being charged anything If she had I would would have checked out at the correct time I feel ripped off

Clean rooms, comfortable bed, comfortable pillows, good shower pressure, friendly staff. Well maintained, everything is in good working order. Saw many complaints about WiFi, had no issues there. Fast and easy.Surpassed expectations. Only complaint is there's no plug by the window for the portable AC unit, and even if there was there's no exhaust hose for it so the hot air is blowing right back into the room. There are no screens on the windows so when they are open bugs can get in. I'm guessing they may be winterizing and it's just been an abnormally hot fall.Still, will stay again when I come this way.

Stayed here a few nights for work, and was pleasantly surprised. I tend to rate my experience on 4 key factors: cleanliness, wifi/internet, shower, and bed.The moment I entered my room, I was hit with this wonderful smell of fresh and clean. No idea what it was specifically, but it smelled great. I was pleased to find the room clean, and it had an air conditioner. The rooms are cleaned everyday at this hotel. (I was surprised to see how many hotels don't refresh the rooms during your stay!)The only thing to be aware of, is they don't use white towels here. I didn't see that as an issue, but my colleague pointed out that with colored towels, they can't bleach them. Myself, I don't have an issue with colored towels. They were clean.The internet in this small town isn't stellar to start with, so I wasn't expecting much with the wifi. It seemed reasonable given its a small town. The one frustration with the wifi, was although the connection between my device and the wifi router was stable and solid, occasionally the bandwidth would drop off to nothing for up to 5 minutes at a time (so you're connected, watching Netflix or something, and it tells you that you're not connected to the internet, even though the wifi connection is working...)The shower. Wow. Good hot water. IMMENSE water pressure. The shower head will fire water lasers through your soul if you're not careful when you set the taps..lol I was pretty surprised. Overall, nice shower experience.Lastly, the bed. Nice comfy beds with feather (?) pillows. For me, they were way to soft (like sleeping on a warm marshmallow), so keep that in mind if you prefer a firm pillow.Overall a pleasant experience, I not only would stay here again, I just booked my next stay here. Also, there's a burger baron behind it, a resteraunt in the front, both have good food. Being located in the downtown" of swan hills

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. No soundproofing whatsoever. No internet. Staff is rude and unhelpful. When I told them that their internet wasn't working the lady at the front desk just told me Well then
