Campground is really clean- sites are all paved making leveling trailer nice. Close to the river and nice paved trails. Bring your bikes nice area for bike rides too- but make sure to hide away lock up well. A few in the site had their bikes stollen even though they were locked up on their trailer. However, if you had an emergency like we did they are not accommodating. My young son put an axe into his ankle and we had to call an ambulance. I tried calling the site manager a dozen times to give a heads up there were emergency crews coming nut no one picked up. I didn't want to leave my under age son with a severe womb alone to walk to the entrance to warn them. The ambulance got in finally. The paramedic was awesome in our panic. She asked a neighbor to watch our small well behaved dog since we couldn't take her to the hospital. (My husband had to run to edmonton earlier in the day so I had NO vehicle). But when I was at the hospital not even 10 min the lady owner called and said I had to pick up dog NOW since our neighbor couldn't watch her anymore. (Which if someone needed me to watch their dog in an emergency I would in a heartbeat- with no other questions) I explained my son was rushed to hospital and that I;1. had no vehicle 2. The hospital requires an adult with him 24/7. I tried to explain my husband was only 15 maybe 20 min away to grab her anyway as soon as he heard of the emergency. She said it wasnt good enough that I had to find someone NOW! I said my husband would be there soon and if it was such a big deal told her to place her in my trailer which paramedics and I thought wouldn't be safe since it was 32 degrees outside and no ac in the tent trailer. If we can't leave a dog unattended in a car why a trailer with no ac.?I was a bit annoyed. She said she was aware we were rushed to hospital but she didn't care to ask if he was OK or not before demanding to come get our dog. She didn't care my son wouldn't have a parent. And that I couldn't get hold of the sites office to make them aware of the coming emergency vehicle or to rush over extra first aid. Isn't it required to have access to emergency products in public spaces?Good thing I was prepared for the worse though. Then I get for security reasons to lock the entrance gate. But why can't those in there still use a code to get into site even after hours? We were at the hospital till 3AM and couldn't get into our site to grab meds or sleep ap machine. We had to pay for a hotel for the night another added cost we didn't expect. We left a day early and didn't even fight to get money back. We were more concerned that my son get off his leg and home.

Lots are to small at west end of site, I can almost wipe my neighbors chin when they are eating, no fire pit (site to small), pay exorbitant rates for showers, NO WIFI (In today's world, totally unacceptable), overpriced for what is offered. Have stayed here several times over the years, but this time, I know I am not getting value for my money. It is acceptable and usable when visiting family in Reddeer, because we don't spend a lot of time on site.Stay primarily in Lions campgrounds in our travels, but this campsite is by far the worst of the worst of Lions campgrounds we have used. Check in was quick but not friendly. Other Lions sites have people roaming to keep the place safe and pick up items that are found so they can be returned to owners. On the positive side, the grounds, and sites, are kept clean. Easy to level on asphalt, easy to access, bathrooms are kept clean, it is a quiet site for sure. Consider putting all information online so people are aware when coming. Price could be lower with cost of WiFi an add on.Biggest improvements would be wifi and friendlier gate staff. Other things that would make it nicer are not doable at this stage of site development.

It's a really nice clean campground. Was easy to book and very well maintained. Their bathrooms are really nice and very clean. They have tent sites available, but also really nice RV sites with full hookups. The have a sani dump station on site. The staff are really friendly and are very present during the day. This campground does have a few restrictions. Not all sites have a fire pit. Some sites also don't have much green space around them, others have a great green space. Its a nice family oriented campground. It also has a nice waking path beside river and a playground for kids. Quiet time is in effect from 10pm - 8am here.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice views of the river behind your spots. Very quiet. Stayed for over a month. Great place to stay for work. The only negative thing I have to say is about laundry. They make you buy tokens. One load and “dry” will cost you $9. Washers work well but after 40 minutes clothes were still damp and had to be hung. Inside trailer as the rules state no outside clothes line. If you don’t have to do laundry it’s an ok place to stay. Not a lot of privacy so it’s like parking lot camping but great place to meet other close campers.

Great campground and very clean. But the sites close to the road can get very noisy but overall the campground has been one of our best destinations.

I've just turned 50 years old and don't recall ever being disappointed in a campground before I went here. Well I went here and was turned away at the gate. I drive a 2016 Dodge Caravan and was in from out of town with a foam mattress and a van full of tools for work. (I'm a carpenter). I pulled up and asked what the rate was? I was told $31 dollars which sounded reasonable as I was looking forward to a shower and doing some laundry. I was asked if I had a tent? I said no I was going to sleep in my Van. They gave me a sideways look and said no, you have to have a tent. So I said if I go buy a tent I can camp. As I recall they had said yes but seemed as though they wanted to deter me from staying on their campsite. They weren't being rude so much as very unwelcoming. I was somewhat astonished and said thank you and left. As I drove away I was thinking to myself, isn't a campground all about sleeping in a camper van or RV? Tent or what have you? I still don't understand why I wasn't welcomed to stay there. I had cash. I was going to spend on a shower and laundry. I'm curious if the management or owners of this place will reply to this with an honest answer or just continue to profile people and turn away good money as they see fit. I love camping and was tired from a long day of driving from Vancouver. Incredibly disappointing experience here. This would have been in mid June 2022. I'll look forward to your retort.
