Milford House

I love this place. If you are looking for sleek, modern amenities, don't come here. If you are looking for an action packed holiday, stay away. Its about recharging. Turn off the cell phone and stare at the water, or a blazing fire. Cuddle up with your favorite person or dog. Walk a trail. Sit on a rock. Identify fungi. Feel better.

An amazing spot to get away from the city. Limited cell phone reception and Wi-Fi, which was perfect. Excellent selection of canoes and kayaks to explore all the surrounding lakes - the best way to drink in all of the spectacular fall foliage! The servers at the dining hall were all lovely people and the food was delicious!

The only short coming was poor cell service(the whole area is poor) and no wifi at the cabins. It would feel a bit safer to have wifi close with the poor cell service.

Chapeau !We just spent opening week at Milford House.  What a treat to be welcomed back to such a lovely spot and friendly faces.The new manager and her awesome staff more than rose to the occasion when people didn’t show up for scheduled shifts or just plain didn’t show for the job. Bravo to Gordon, Jeremiah, Krista and Heather for going beyond the call of duty and stepping in wherever they were needed to give the guests the best possible experience. These people are the rockstars of the hospitality industry.  All for one and one for all !The new farm to table menu means that you are getting food that is prepared just for you as you order it.  It takes a little longer and in no way resembles the assembly line pre-cooked food that so many places serve nowadays.  You are staying in a little piece of heaven so,  take your time, relax, chat, laugh and enjoy every savoury bite.Everyone at Milford is determined to make guest experience the best you can have.  If you need anything, just ask. If you need a laugh, take the time to get to know the staff, they are  sure to have you in stitches.

The Hentz cabin is so warm and cozy. You definitely won't freeze in it during the winter. Lots of space to sleep and cook and socialize. View of the lake with all the snow on the trees was beautiful. A great weekend getaway. Will be back again for sure.

Charming rustic resort on a series of lakes and nice trails. We stayed at the 5 bedroom , 2 bath Tyler cottage. Great fireplace, verandah and wonderful views. Our stay could not have been more perfect

Great little spot, stayed in the Thomas cabin and it was great. Excellent staff very friendly and clean place aswell. I wish they had a fan in the room though as it can be very hot in the evenings! Will stay again.

Frequented as a child. Made so many wonderful memories there. Have not been in about a decade but we have a trip planned for the summer. So excited to share it with my kids.

My wife and I decided to spend a weekend in one of the winterized cabins and have zero regrets. Customer service was fantastic during the booking process and all questions were answered. The cabin itself was cozy, clean and well stocked with firewood for the evening - the perfect retreat! The surrounding property is beautiful (and quiet!) in the winter and trails are well marked for hiking / snowshoeing. We will be back again.

This was our 3rd trip to Milford House and although it rained the entire time we were there, we still had a fantastic stay!We did have a bit of a hiccup with our meal plan due to communication, but the lovely front desk lady was so kind it didn't effect our stay at all :)We also had to cabin hop one day and the staff made sure to prioritize our second cabin being cleaned and ready!We were so thankful.We can't wait to be back, and hope to continue spending time here with our family for many years to come ❤️
