Beautiful lazy river route. Takes around 2.5 hours from start to finish at a leisurely pace. Once you go under the first two bridges, the river opens up into a large area that gets kinda busy when the weather is nice. Beyond that, the route to Little Beach is relatively quiet, and there's a few places where the river gets shallow and fast. Nothing that'll tip you out of your tube, and kid friendly. Recommend that book your tube at the Tube Shack, and use (free, when you rent a tube) their ride service to get back.

This was my first time tubing and I had an absolute blast. What a great way to cool off on one of the hottest days of the year. No wait times and plenty of space for everyone. Bring sunscreen!

It was a memorable experience, starting with two of the kids falling out of their tubes right at the dock. (New core memories unlocked hahaha) We will probably try again another time with a longer timeframe.Tips!1. Try to stay local. By that I mean look for a place to stay overnight in the area (or at least on Vancouver Island). We attempted to make this into a day trip and while we did manage it, trying to catch two different ferry rides to get here felt too much like the Amazing Race - especially considering you can't hurry the river tubing portion!2. They have sunscreen, but you can find your own mineral based ones that are river-safe.3. They sell nifty little drybags that make for great souvenirs! (Although we did bring our own)4. You can also wear rashguards to up your sun protection. Bringing water guns to keep us cool was also fun.5. Be prepared for a long trip. Besides, you're going tubing to chillax right? Hahaha

Great swimming spot and a dock to jump from. The water isn’t too cold during the summer. The water is also great to go tubing in. The dock has some benches for friends who doesn’t want to swim but wants to come and enjoy Lake Cowichan. It’s especially nice to come here and watch the sunset.

The real fun begins when you passed 1/3 of the way where there's a faster current and you need to sit tight holding into you tube going up and down by the current! Great scenery there aa well!

Lazy is right! Its quite the slow moving current. Took about 2 hours to reach the end. Some mini rapids in the later half were entertaining. We bought a bracelet for a single ride back into town, so one person could grab the car and return to pickup the others. GPS point to return to was 'The Cabin Little Beach'.

Great way to spend a few hours with friends floating down the river. Can rent tubes or bring your own. If you bring your own it is 10$ cash pp to take the bus back to the parking lots.

We bring our own tubes and float down. Can pay $10 for the shuttle back or bring two cars and park one on each end. Alternatively, you can pay for one person to shuttle back and they can drive to pick up everyone else.

It wasn't open when we went here. Probably not the right time of year, we just stopped to eat at the A&W and grabbed some fried ice cream and ate at the park and strolled around the area. Very unique place with a museum and small park. Beautiful dock with gorgeous views with a big open sky. Would love to come back and have the kids go tubing and I can review that portion too..
