Can’t say enough good things about John and his team. Helped us plan out a beautiful design for both our front and back yard, and then made it come to life. Had great suggestions for trees and shrubs to fit our yard and then found the best ones from the nursery. Super prompt and professional, and went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect for us. Great communication that made the entire experience very enjoyable. Would not hesitate to recommend for any of your landscaping needs, and look forward to working together again in the future.

John responded promptly to my inquiry via RenovationFind; and was flexible and fast in arranging to come out and view our property and understand what we wanted done. (We were replacing trees for privacy and shade, and replacing topsoil and sod; along with some footpath pavers.). He was pleasant, respectful and professional; and we got a very positive vibe from the get-go. He had immediate good ideas for us. His estimate quote was delivered promptly, and he was easy to reach for additional questions. He stuck with us through a summer of delays in starting due to road work in our area; and when we were ready, he and his crew arrived on short notice and got straight to work. They were pleasant to be around, the property was maintained so tidily throughout the process, and we started getting compliments on our yard immediately after all planting was done. We hired JPL after talking to 3 companies as we felt his approach was the most professional of the group. They did not disappoint.At the start I provided a sketch of what we were thinking and he provided feedback about ways to improve it and make it more functional, which was exactly what we needed.Upon execution they did everything they said they were going to do. The best part to me was whenever an issue came up (I had timing issues with the fencing crew and electrician for the buried hot tub cable and city inspection) we would talk for 5 minutes, work the problem, and carry on. No drama, no finger pointing, no complaints….. I loved it.As well, his crew was great. They always showed up on time and really seemed happy to be there.I can’t say enough good things about this company.

I have a concrete landscape curbing company and have worked with John at JPL Earthworks when he needs my services for over 15 years.I have worked with other landscaping contractors over the years and John is by far the most professional as far organizing and communicating what he needs for me to do. Punctuality, professionalism and quality .We just had John and his crew finish up a pad and fire pit in our backyard. The stones we had decided on were going to be a little challenging, but they were up for the task ahead and we are extremely pleased with the end result. They were very respectful of our property and made sure everything was cleaned up when the job was finished.Would recommend Johnny Paycheck to family and friends.

Second time using John. First time was in our old house. New house this time and the job was 5x the size. New place we moved into previous owners were greenthumbs until it became too much for them and downsized, looking to make it more functional and less maintenance. Lots of rock work in flower beds, moving of plants and removal of plants/bushes, shed pad, and resetting stone path. He spent the good part of a week at our place. Love working with the man, great guy that always wants what's best for you. I recommend him to anyone I know. Pictures just a small piece of overall job.

We have been dealing with drainage issues in our backyard and have tried to engage more than one contractor (with no success) prior to finding John.John came out and discussed our needs vs. our wants, and our plans and then offered some suggestions on how to get the most bang for our buck, including some ideas on our deck design. All while maintaining a very good price estimate.On work-day, he rolled in with a good sized crew and completed in one day what would have taken us a month to do ourselves. The work was completed quickly, but with an excellent eye to detail. They also provided some extra last-minute work that will save us time later.If we need landscapers back for future projects, or have friends asking for recommendations, I would send them to John first.
