I have always ordered at this restaurant for a few months now whenever my team and I are craving sushi. However today interaction was such a turn off, associate Laurie/Lauren wanted to charge me to add 3 additional chop sticks. Ridiculous. Someone needs to retrain her because that is not good customer. I will never order form here again.

It's just awful, it was impossible to eat, all the rolls were as if they had already been eaten. The fish looked terrible, everything fell apart.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.I never give 1 star reviews but this deserved it. Ordered off ubereats because they had a pretty enticing deal with their Monkie special set. The food was delivered on time and looked good. That’s all the positive I can say from here on out.The sushi itself did not taste fresh. The rice tasted like it was a day old, and I ended up finding pieces of plastic in one of the rolls. Turns out the chef didn’t bother to remove the plastic wrap off the artificial crab meat so the entire roll had plastic in it. I didn’t realize at first so when I bit into the roll, I was wondering why it was chewy until I pulled a piece of plastic out of my mouth. Spend the extra couple of dollars for better quality sushi. Trust me.

I regretted not checking reviews before ordering. Ordered BOGO Gold Dragon Roll from UberEats and thought it’s a really great deal for the portion. Turned out the quality is a huge let down. The sushi rice is too sticky and heavy, hard to chew, and the breaded shrimp tempura inside the roll is very soggy. I cannot imagine how long the food has sit there to taste this way. Grilled eggplant is very oily, taste wise it’s alright. I will not order from this place again. Don’t let the low price point fool you.

One of the best sushi places I’ve tried in Toronto. Don’t know what all the people giving the 1 star reviews are ordering - I assume it’s the cheapest option in the menu: 1 roll for $7. Although I didn’t find that one bad either. I prefer the Fusion Roll or Dragon Roll.Price is unbeatable anyway.

Found the offer on UberEats for buy one get one free. The menu looked exciting and tempting me to order from Monkey Sushi.The delivery was quick and being vegan they sent salad instead of miso soup which was considerate.Somehow the food was unpalatable, the rice being over cooked and mushy making the sushi bland and tasteless. We ordered two types of sushi’s but somehow both tasted similar, bland and over cooked.The avocado salad was fresh and crisp and the dressing a little sweet but tasty.Disappointed in the sushi as was expecting something tasty with Their flavour combinations.They didn’t even give wasabi and ginger with the sushi. I paid extra to get them. Which is surprising as these condiments are generally complimentary as it’s part of the dish.

I order from here all the time. At least once a month. The platters are the best bang for your buck. Sometimes I get this through ubereats and other times I do pick up at the store. They prepare this so fast for me it's great! Keep up the great work Monkey Sushi team!

EDIT: after reading the reviews and some inspection I’m pretty sure I literally ATE PLASTIC WRAP. I was wondering why the sushi was so hard to chew.Spoiled food. Ordered two dynamite rolls. Sushi actually didn’t taste too bad, but my stomach felt off immediately after eating. About 1.5 hrs later i had horrible stomach cramps and I was sick throwing up. Thought it was affordable but not worth getting sick over.

The rice looks like plaster/glue and tastes like it too. I found the tiny portions of salmon on the red dragon rolls adorable. The eel in the bbq eel rolls tasted rancid. Finished about a quarter of the tray until we decided to throw the rest out and were left hungry. Lucky that Uber Eats reimbursed us. This place is the worst sushi I’ve had in the entire world and I’ve had sushi in South America.
