Great restaurant if you're craving for momos or tandoori dishes! An informal setting with very friendly and welcoming staff. They offer complimentary soup which was delicious. We enjoyed chilli chicken momos and tandoori chicken. Our onion potato Naan was okay - bit chewy. Other than that, great food.

A hidden gem in Downtown Vancouver. This was our first time to a Nepalese restaurant and we were blown away by the service from Himanshu and all her supporting staff. The monos were good but the chicken curry and veg noodles were awesome. We ate a plenty and then took some to hotel for dinner - they gave us everything to hear and eat at hotel too. Top notch service and great food. Masala Chai was icing on the cake.

There was a lot of promise when we sat down at Mount Everest Kitchen & Grill. The place was packed, the aroma was lovely, and the menu looked excellent. We decided to order the chili momos, spicy chicken biryani, and a ginger ale.The momos were actually quite lovely, the tone was set, we were looking forward to the biryani. And the ginger ale. A ginger ale which never arrived (though it was on the receipt). The biryani... Was bad. We asked for spicy but were advised to go medium since their spice levels were supposed to be quite hot. While the biryani's smell was nice, it was absolutely devoid of flavour. It basically tasted like lightly grilled, lightly seasoned chicken and mostly white basmati rice. It was, by far, the most bland biryani either of us have ever had. We didn't end up having very much of it, and after some debate, didn't even get it packed to go since we knew we'd never bother getting to it later - why waste extraneous packaging and also food. That dish, alongside pretty mediocre service left us pretty deflated. It isn't a bad place, but definitely don't get the biryani, and maybe don't order ginger ale.The momos were nice though, they brought the whole experience up a point. FWIW they also didn't charge us for the ginger ale when we pointed out the discrepancy.

What an amazing experience, service, and best of all the food! Was looking for a different and well rated place to eat while in town and what the perfect choice. Prices were around $15, we got two meals and shared so around $30 total.Since we were visiting we didn't know what to get and the staff were very helpful in getting us a meal perfect for our needs. Everything from the complementary soup and the food were exceptional! The flavor and tenderness of the chicken on point and even the side sauces added to the meal, I wish we were staying in town longer as we would go every day.As the reviews state, this place is a hidden gem!

A true gem. We stumbled upon this place by serendipity. Both the food and service were amazing. We tried almost all of the momos and the Manchurian and goat curry. Absolutely delicious. The chili momos were my favourite, but they were all very good, you cannot go wrong. And the price was incredible!

The menu boasted a wide array of authentic Nepali dishes, and each one was a delight to the senses. From the flavorful momos to the aromatic biryanis, every dish showcased the rich flavors of Nepal. The ingredients were fresh, and the spices were balanced beautifully, leaving me craving for moreHimanshu, our server at Mount Everest Grill and Nepali Restaurant, truly made our dining experience exceptional. We decided on this restaurant because of other reviews and we were NOT disappointed! Medium spice level was perfect for our tastes and the food was just fantastic! We had chicken korma (yellow), beef curry (red), garlic naan, steamed momo, and cauliflower soup. Should we ever be in Vancouver again, we will absolutely stop here again!
