The ER staff were amazing! The nurses in the ward were great. The hospital is doing their best to help everyone as best they can. It is evident. Although they are sometimes short staffed, they still try to make it work and smile. This has been a horrible three years experience for the health care profession and we should applaud and appreciate what they do. When you treat them kindly they, like all people, respond in kind. They are here to help. THANK YOU!

Something has to be done about this emergency intake team. There has to be a better system that lets patients know where they are in the queue. Waiting 10 hours without any communication is insane. Worst of all is the staff’s attitude , extremely condescending when answering questions around time Frame.People come to the hospital at their worst of times It’s my view that a hospital should make every effort to turn things around in every way possible from the moment you walk in.Please come up with a system/process that keeps patients in the loop.

The front information desk person was very helpful and answered my questions. The triage was quick and efficient along with registration. The wait time listed was over 8 hours. I ended up waiting three hours on a Friday afternoon to get stitches .

New to Ottawa. Staff were phenomenal. Upon arrival there seemed to be 40+ people in the waiting room. The wait time was 4+ hours. We were seen at about 6.5hrs, and the doc was so patient and thorough. Same amount of people in an ER in our old city would have been 12+ hours. All staff interacted with were kind, compassionate and helpful. Not one made me feel like they were rushed or inconvenienced by their role. Top notch team members!!!Only complaint is there were no stretchers available to public in ER waiting areas. The only way I could get one would be to have called an ambulance - which I didn't want to use precious resources for my condition. Unfortunately sitting in a chair was impossible, and so was standing for periods longer than 5 minutes. Staff were kind and allowed us to wait in our vehicle where I could lay down, but I was too nervous I'd miss being called in so I was back and forth from the paid parking lot area more than I could tolerate, since its not an in/out priviledge lot (that we knew of). Perhaps a purchase of a reclining mobility aid for use solely for these circumstances may be in a future budget consideration?

It is my 3rd visit to its emergency department in last 6 months for so-called non-life-threatening conditions for me and my grandson. I have found it to be the most inefficient hospital unit anywhere in the world. 3rd world countries have far better systems. I am right now sitting here for last 8 hours, waiting for my 1 year old grandson to be seen by a doctor for probably a single stich. But as he is not likely to die, system does not bother.Every organization public and private ask for customer reviews etc, but this one has no formal mechanism for lodging complains, even.

On this Canada Day, I am very thankful to the Day Surgery staff at the Queensway Carleton Hospital. People are quick to complain when things don't go their way, I feel it is important to mention when they do go well. So many kind and cheerful orderlies, nurses and anesthsia workers helped me through a rotator cuff surgery yesterday. Special thanks to Nurses Nancy and Mary and Anesthesia Asst. Chris. A very, very special thank-you to Dr Prihar who is an absolute gentleman.

Went in due to a heart issue that had subsided. Everyone was professional and friendly, and these folks care. Yes, the wait is really long, but there were many critical patients in the emergency. As far as I am concerned, the nurses and doctors deserve respect and are truly heroes.

After post surgery for a knee replacement I attended physio therapy at the Queensway hospital. My physio therapist were Laura and Bryanna . They were most competent, professional, helpful and encouraging. They helped me accomplish my wellness goals according to schedule. It would not of been possible without them. Very grateful to them both.

Had to go to emergency last week. Pretty serious bleeding problem from previous surgery the week before. Got into ER within one hour. They stabilized me and I got to spend the night in ICU. Great care from friendly staff. Able to leave hospital the next afternoon.

My mom has been transferred from Almonte general, she was sent in right away for CT scan and settled in the emergency, the male nurses there were so pleasant and caring, we then ended up in C4 section and to D4 section all lovely nurses around, very pleasant and caring! Our public health staffs are trying their best, life is easy to complain, my family is very grateful, one of the Best hospital for sure
