Food is painfully ok. I expected more from dim sum in Richmond, and at such a busy and popular restaurant. There's far too much cilantro and dried shrimp in everything that makes it all taste samey. A dumpling split open at the top and was a mess to eat. The highlight was turnip cake, somehow - a rather plain comfort pick for me!It was difficult to order because I can only read the English part of the menu, and the translation is subpar - as are the pricing labels. The bean curd skin rolls had zero indication of what the filling would be, if any. There was. But the rice noodle rolls didn't, which was very disappointing.Restaurant was suuper loud. I felt like I was going to get a headache. Some sound insulation would be much appreciated.

The dim sum is excellent (authentic HK style) and the room we were placed in wasn't super loud, it was quite enjoyable. Parking could be a problem so I suggest parking on the street for a few bucks to avoid the headache. Also go earlier like at 11am to avoid the super noon rush and the crazy wait time.

Good quality dim sum. The menu is a bit small compared to other restaurants I've been to but it sure was delicious. Service was very fast. It can get busy so making reservations is probably a good idea. I really enjoyed the beef tripe. It was different from the typical ginger beef tripe I order at dim sum restaurants. The bean curd rolls and the fried squid were my favourite.

Overall, it is a good place to come for dim sum. I tried quite a few dishes and they’re all pretty good. My least favorite is the turnip cake. Turnip cake was not good at all, very disappointed….

A popular dim sum place. It is much more expensive than some other dimsum places. A reservation is recommended since this place gets busy.service is typical of a dim sum restaurant.

Food was decent. I just wish they knew how to fry stuff to make it crispy. The squid was soggy along with the “nest” of the Peking duck. But otherwise the food was tasty. Price is about the same as before. Only real downside is the huge friggin TVs that is super distracting. Service is great though. Ambience is typical of a Chinese restaurant

Food wise has some of the best Chinese food in Vancouver. Parking here is a little bit better than some of the other Richmond Chinese food restaurants because the parking lot they have allows for more cars and doesn't have a 1 hour time limit in their parking lot. The restaurant is fairly large and we had to wait 20 minutes for a table which was fine cuz it was busy on a Sunday afternoon at around 12:30 p.m. The actual restaurant was very loud so if you need to want to have a quiet dim some lunch or brunch with the tile floor we found that it accentuated the talking noise very much so and it was fairly difficult to hear each other talk during the time we had as dishes pretty much standard dim sum fair.We had to eat har Gow, sui Mai, mushroom & green pea shoots, egg custard tarts, vegetable bean curd, beef noodles, and deep fried milk. The deep fried Mil is a dessert with liquid milk on the inside and battered exterior. It tasted exactly how it sounds, not overly sweet while the egg tarts were also some of the best I've had from a dim sum in some time. We'll come again here as the food is good and we could get a table in Richmond. I'd rate this a 4.5 stars.

Overall the price they charge is way over the food quality. The honey garlic rib is too sweet. I don't taste garlic at all, All I taste is sugar. The rib itself is pretty much meatless for $26 and super dry, your jaw would hurt after finishing eating that. The shark fin is a disappointment too. There is very little fin in the cup for $40, and the flavor is very plain. The one I had in China is way better, a full bowl with just fin with a separate bowl of rice, and the flavor is just amazingly rich. The only thing that didn't disappoint is the beef stew, but I doubt we will come back.

A lot of friends have recommended SSW to me for dim sum, so I'm glad I finally had the opportunity to try it out. We went on the Mother's Day weekend, but we were seated relatively quickly (within 10-20 minutes). The inside is very spacious with lots of tables that are nicely spaced out. However parts of it are also dated (especially the washroom) and look like they could use some reno. There is an expansive menu of different dim sum items, with pricing being on the premium end. Overall the dim sum was good, but I feel it was overhyped as it wasn't as amazing as people made it sound and there were definitely some items that fell short. For instance, the custard lava buns had very little filling. Service was relatively friendly and attentive for a dim sum place.
