Going out with Captain Cox was THE best experience whale watching we’ve ever had. We saw over 30+ whales and even more seals, all thanks Captain Cox’s expert driving and knowledge of the best places to go. You get an incredible zodiac ride with a history lesson on the local geography and landscape. 5/5 must see cape Breton experience.

My wife and I had a great experience. The Captain shared some great stories and pointed out some interesting things we would have never seen on our own. The whales of course were amazing. Also glad we went with him vs. the other whale-watching company - the boat was not as choppy and we didn’t feel sick at all.

Captain Cox's Whale Watch
Even when not seeing a whale on a whale watch tour, he deserves a 5 star and the tour was fantastic, all of it. We had great time and Captain Cox was very knowledgeable about the history of the place and the tour was great. The whales was just the detail and everything else was very good.

Captian Cox has an amazing sense of humour and his knowledge was second to none after working on the water for 35years. We truly enjoyed every minute of our trip. His large rescue style twin engine RIB (Zodiac) was incredibly smooth and you can’t beat how he can maneuver in the waves to find those whales. He found several Pods of whales that we followed and got tons of pictures. Our son was also on cloud 9. He explained some interesting history of the area. We saw seals a Bald eagle and so much more. You will not be disappointed when you choose this tour. He will do his very best to make your Expierience a great one. This was only my second review on Google because he is very worthy of a wonderful review!!!

We had a great sea tour with Captain Cox. Although we were not successful in locating whales, we sighted seals, Atlantic white sided dolphins and bald eagle. Captain Cox was very friendly, humble and knowledgeable about the area and even showed us significant geological features along the coastline. He takes his time to show you the important features that most tour companies miss. Would definitely recommend going on a sea tour with Captain Cox.

This was a fantastic afternoon on the water. Some of the most impressive scenry I've seen anywhere, and the whales were feeling social and put on a bit of a show for us! Especially stunning as they swim under water right along side the boat. With the Zodiac you feel so close to everything. The tour was much more than whales though. Captain Cox has great local knowledge and would explain the impressive geological formations (rocks originally forming part of Pangea!), widlife info, and stories involving the coastline. He also brought us to see the seals :-)

We had a fantastic sea safari with Captain Cox. He clearly knew his stuff, the boat was very comfortable on the sea, and we got to see a variety of interesting wildlife and geological features, including Pilot Whales, Seals and a Sun Fish. Great fun was had by all.
