Port Dental Centre

So grateful to Dr. Jag for double tooth extraction. My first time to this clinic and I have to say my best dental experience ever. Great staff, very professional and the dental assistant was very friendly and present. I left feeling like they cared. Thank you!!!

As a person who was terrified of the dentist for many, many years I can't say enough about the staff at Port Dental. I actually look forward to my appointments these days which I never, ever thought I would say. Highly recommended!

Doctor Sam is awesome! Very professional and efficient! Always explains procedures and options in detail. Hygienist Deirdre is lovely! Very gentle and capable! Both of them have done much to relieve my anxiety of going to the dentist! Thank you!

Reception ladies were very nice. She explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I was even emailed a quote prior to my appointment to have an estimate on the cost. That is such a wonderful thing to do so I don't get a surprise bill. The dentist was also great, and very friendly and informative. I had to wait to get my prescription faxed over and the receptionist even called me to let me know so I could have an idea of when to go to the pharmacy. Covid social distancing and cleanliness measures were also great. Overall great experience, thank you everyone!

Excellent service, very informative about the process involved when having work done on your teeth.I was never uncomfortable at anytime, (even when my gums were being frozen), during my dental visit and I would highly recommended Port Dental to anyone!

I have seen Dr. Jag a few times he is always patient with me . I have high anxiety when I go for dental work he makes me feel comfortable he always asks if I’m ok I like that the other staff are great as well always polite and professional I recommend if you are anxious like me as well as to anyone.

First, the receptionist was loud and sharing everyone’s personal info in front of the whole waiting room full of people, not professional. Then when we finally went in, hygienist asked the reason for our visit multiple times, took X-rays and then the doctor finally comes in and says “what’s the reason of your visit?” Like didn’t your assistant tell you or did you get a chance to look at the X-ray? Anyways I explain my concern about my kid’s tooth and he repeated multiple times, by then my kid got so anxious about it all and refused to open her mouth. They offered to fax the prescription to Walmart pharmacy, we showed up and Walmart pharmacy has no clue about it because they faxed it at the wrong number. Not the best experience at all.

Great experience I had here tonight. I didn't have an appointment, but I was in pain and they were so accommodating to fit me in. Everyone was so friendly and Michelle (dentist) was great. I will for sure come back to this office !

Dr. Jag’s office gave me a call and managed to fit me in on a tooth extraction. Awesome staff, environment etc. he froze my mouth with minimal discomfort and pulled my tooth out so well I was shocked when he said it’s done! Couldn’t ask for better service it’s great.

I'll never go back here again. Rude staff. I go to Oceanside Dental in Parksville. They are 100% patient, caring, courteous and don't seem to be in the dentistry business only for the money. AND they make sure people fully understand their options when it comes to receiving the proper dental procedure. THEY have never had an oh well. Too bad for you" attitude."
