Ace Moving Services Ltd.

Arrived at my home late, packed in such a hurry items were broken in transit including our large screen tv. I’ve moved a lot and never had such a poor packing job. They packed over 80 boxes, moving back the exact same stuff was 60 boxes and wrapped much more securely. When we moved back, I specifically asked they not handle the transport on this end because the outbound move was that bad. Update: Move was under my married name - it was this company!

We don’t move often, but Ace Movers was recommended to us and we are very happy that we hired them for our move. Everything from the estimate to the actual move went great and as planned. Very professional and friendly, if we had to move again, we would definitely use Ace Movers again! Thanks to everyone! John & Sue

If I could give negative 5 stars, I would. PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE HIRING THIS COMPANY. My experience with this company was terrible and I hope I save anyone from experiencing the horrific treatment I received from them. This company was recommended to me from another company (since retired) that had moved me on 3 other occasions. Ace was a bit more expensive than some other quotes I received but I chose them based on the referral. I provided pictures of what was to be moved. Then, ten days before our scheduled move, I received a call that their truck had broken down. I asked them to see what they could do because this was short notice and my house was closing on the scheduled date, August 31. They said they would rent a 24’ truck, if they had to but would do the move. We were all concerned that it would be too small but on such short notice, we would go ahead. They did rent a smaller truck and 3 men drove the 3 hours to my home. When they arrived, there was another truck moving a family member. While waiting for the half hour for the other truck to finish up we walked around to see what needed to be moved. Beds were disassembled, legs removed from chairs. Boxes purchased from a moving supply company were in 3 areas in the basement and one area on the main floor. There were a couple of items in the garage. The lead mover, Cody (said he owned the company)took a look at the items to be moved. He then decided he would not do the move, he did not like the packing and said stuff was everywhere. It was now 11:00am and my house was closing that day. I begged him, offered to pay in advance, I asked him to only move boxes and heavy items, the loose items would go in my vehicle (which did end up happening and I had bags of bedding which he did not like). He refused. I continued to beg. He told me that if I gave negative review, he would comment that I was not packed, so I took pictures for anyone to see. He then backed up his truck and drove away leaving me 4 hours to get my house moved. Do NOT use this company. We called other moving companies who in turn tried to find a company to help us out. The other moving company moving a family member, were astonished and spent several hours to help us get out of the house on time. (They even like bags of bedding - good fillers) I called everyone I knew with a truck and trailer and numerous friends and family. We had lawyers and Realtors involved because this was catastrophic. I am a 64 year old woman and moved boxes and furniture for two days on both ends of my move. I can say that I have not been at the mercy of some one this heartless in a very long time. Instead, use North Country Movers in Minden, they are professional, courteous and kind - but most of all, reliable!NOTE:I was not able to post the pictures but they are available for review on request.

Our family have hired Ace 3 times now. Extremely professional and very helpful. Would not hesitate to hire them again.Highly recommended!

First off, I thought I did my due diligence by reading all the reviews, good and bad and never in my wildest dreams did I think I would experience such a horrendous situation. The movers were given $1k in advance which was the first mistake.... picking the Friday of a long weekend was my 2nd mistake .... Long story short....they completed half the move with a rental truck (not their own) and then informed me that his team told him that this is not their thing and wanted to leave" The driver (Cory?) then told me that they were paid for 5 hours and would reimburse if I didn't want to pay them at all. Helllll no I don't want to pay you!!! How could they just leave someone stranded like that??? How unprofessional!!! While I was furious

Courteous and professional right from the start and reasonably priced. They made my move quick and stress free. I was impressed with how they made sure my furniture was well secured so that nothing would get damaged in the truck. I would definitely recommend them!
