Great first child haircut experience. The atmosphere was fun and sufficiently distracting.Alicia did a great job with gentle introductions to the scissors and trimmer, and took the time to explain what she was going to do before doing it. Despite that, the haircut was still quick and professional.We'll definitely be coming back for our next haircut.

Amazing job and very child friendly. Shannon our hairdresser was very kind, and works well with children. Haircut was terrific too. Shop is setup well for small children. Will definitely go back.

Daniella is amazing. We’ve been going to her for a long time on a monthly basis. She always takes her time with our son, remembers past conversations and family members. She is sweet and gentle with asking my son (and other clients) to hold still or to move a bit. Our son’s hair always looks amazing after we are done. Totally recommend her.The Oakville location is very clean and you see staff sanitizing the child chairs, capes and equipment between uses which I appreciate. They always call to confirm your appointment and are super accommodating.

Daughters first haircut was a success. All smiles for the most part but no tears. All staff were upbeat and friendly. Had a certificate to take home with a lock of her hair. Watch out, it can be hard to exit without buying a new toy. Otherwise great experience. Will return.

Today was our first time visiting this Melonhead location … and it was brilliant! Our son had his hair cut by Donna, who was wonderful! She knew all the tricks to keep our son distracted while she cut his hair. Extremely patient and she did a fantastic job. Would absolutely recommend! Thank you!

My daughter had her first cut here with Carmela and she was incredible. She didn't stop at a cut but also gave my daughter a bow, a French braid and some princess dust! They have everything to keep the kids occupied and Carmela did an amazing job. We will continue to come here - I can't say enough good things!

Loved our first visit here! This was my son’s third haircut but first with them. He screamed his way through the first two but not a single tear here. Highly recommend. Did not get the name of the lady that did his hair (she mentioned she works at the bramalae location) .. she did a great job!

Alicia was absolutely amazing with my son. My son is very easily overwhelmed and overstimulated so we’ve never had a “successful” haircut. We’ve either had to hold him down and get through it as quick and as best as possible or we’ve had to resort to home cuts where I have no idea what I’m doing.Alicia was so kind with my son, took the time to really make him comfortable and to walk him through each step and sound/feeling of his cut. By the end he was comfortable and even smiling. She is the kind of person meant to be in this kind of role and we will 10000% be back to see her again. Thank you!

This was our first visit to Melonhead Oakville as the Mississauga Location which was in Erin Mills Town Centre closed and it was a great experience! The staff were all kind and courteous. Carmela did my daughter’s cut and it was perfect! Exactly what we wanted. She was able to take our instructions and execute precisely while also providing us with suggestions based on her expertise. It was our baby girls first hair cut since 2020 and Carmela did an excellent job! We were nervous about how our daughter would cooperate but everything went so smoothly! It was super handy that they had iPads available for each station! We will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
