Best Western Plus Waterfront Hotel

Paid just over $200 out the door for one night stay, decent value. Stayed twice. First time amazing view! Furniture in that room was quite run-down, though. Second time the view was so-so, but the furniture seemed more updated. WOuld like to have had regular coffee in rooms, but each time only decaf offered. Both times had to treck down the elevator to stand in line at reception to ask for a regular coffee. Should just be available. Also, no free breakfast offered, which was disappointing. $20 for 2 bags of chips and 2 sodas in vending. Ouch. Staff very nice, though.

My husband and I always enjoy staying here when we come to Windsor. Clean rooms, good customer service and great river views! Renovations are done, so the pool is open for those few that were upset. YES you pay for parking ($15) and it’s not the end of the world. In any large city in a downtown hotel, I don’t recall ever not paying for parking. Prices are decent even when breakfast ISN’T included. There are lots of wonderful breakfast restaurants in Windsor, so go support them! Pillows are comfy, rooms are roomy. There is a Tassimo which is a nice upgrade from a lot of hotel coffee makers. We will continue to stay here when visiting Windsor!

The rooms are nice and location is great. However, I was disappointed by the availability of services provided. Specifically, we requested a crib. When we arrived there was a playpen in the room. When we asked if there was a real crib we were told that is all they had. Playpens are not approved for overnight sleep by Health Canada. Second, I requested a sleep mask and they did not have any available. Not even for sale. To be clear, I am not disappointed by the staff. They were very quick and responsive. I am disappointed by the failure of management of this hotel to understand what a crib is and the provision of sleep masks.

A very nice hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms. Great customer service. Gorgeous view of the Detroit River from our room on the 20th floor. The pool area is amazing! Lots of chairs to lounge on while watching the kids. The pool wasn’t deep but for relaxing it was perfect. The gym was in the pool area and had a beautiful view of the river while working out. A nice sauna that could use some updating inside the washrooms in the pool area. $15 for parking which is across the street in the parking garage. Close to mostly everything and lots to do in the area.

I would give a negative score if I could. Listen my friends and I were going to Windsor to see Chicago earlier. We made reservations back in January and were going to be on the same floor with very close rooms. . BW called and had to move us due to repairs that were needed at the hotel. We were assured that the new accommodations would be similar to what we booked(Riverside view King Bed, etc.). The Holiday Inn Express they booked us into was not what we were thinking at all. We had a nice view of graffiti covered backs of business in a small hotel that had only two elevators that were hosting hockey teams. My friends were booked into the Doubletree. They got a suite and a view of the waterfront. I complained to Best Western but crickets, you can probably guess that our experience was dramatically less than our friends.

Staff is exceptional. Friendly, helpful attentive. View from the room is incredible. River and Detroit skyline. Extremely quiet but we had a room at the end of the hall. Dining room is recently renovated and prices are comparible to much of downtown. Food was very good.

I have been here many times but I stayed in a suite for the first time in this location. My suite got a longer window , which was giving nice Detroit downtown skyline and water front view. I recommend to got a suite on the 20th floor. Parking is at the back.

My experience at Best Western Plus was a great one with my family. We spent the weekend for my son’s Provincial Basketball Tournament. The Hotel advertised the tournament with a huge billboard right at the front desk which was very impressive. The room and pool was very clean. Shadia’s help for the entire weekend was exceptional. Great location, very central and beautiful night ambience of the River and Detroit which is minutes away.

When I came here, I loved it, one side of the hotel is facing a LAKE from windor to detroit. There is very nice resturants and the room was so clean!

The pool was great! Kids loved it. Unfortunately the only thing good about our room was the view looking across to Detroit. The sofa sleeper collapsed on my kids when they went to get into bed and I had to pull the mattress off to make them a bed on the floor as it was late and I didn’t want to deal with the front desk and having to wait. The carpet was bunches up in a few areas making a terrible tripping hazard. The bathroom is a decent size but the lighting is so bad, when you close the shower curtain you might as well be in the dark. Overall my rating is for the pool and the view only! Would not recommend or stay again.
