Riverview Herbs

We drove from the Annapolis Valley to visit Riverview Herbs. After seeing the destruction hurricane Fiona caused I'm amazed that they were able to produce such a large variety of strong healthy plants, we were greeted ɓy a very friendly knowledgeable lady who helped locate items etc. A most enjoyable day trip with the exception of seeing Fionas wrath. PS I wanted to bring the dog and his squeaky toy home with me, but alas was overruled.

Rarely, if ever, answers their phones for orders.

Riverview is my favourite nursery for buying locally grown medicinal seedlings. Lemon balm, peppermint, Marshmallow, rosemary, and even Ashwagandha in the past!

So disappointed. Used to go here years ago and it was a thriving business with healthy well-cared for offerings. Today's visit - while the greenhouse was quite full, the plants did not appear much cared for - scraggly and many dry. A great majority were not marked and there seemed to be no rhyme or reason to placement. No one was in attendance in the plant greenhouse (even though there were a number of vehicles around the property), not even after ringing the bell 3x, walking around and shouting out loud everywhere on the whole farm, calling the phone number provided online twice, and hammering on the door to the adjacent house. Miraculously found the 3 plants that I was actually looking for but unable to find elsewhere. Could't find an honor box, but was preparing to leave the correct cash and a note on the counter after 45 minutes (I know, a ridiculous amount of time to wait but had driven quite a distance), was getting ready to leave when two cars pulled in with employees. Still had to wait for the gentleman to get his cash box and mask - another 10 minutes. He did apologize for the lack of employees, stating they had all gone for lunch and the people in the house were supposed to be covering. Inexcusable. Won't be going back anytime soon, if ever.
