Johnny G's Cafe
The food, price and service at this cafe are all superb. You can have a variety of different omelettes which all taste good. This place is best for Sunday brunch when you would like a chill afternoon. Also, you get your coffee refilled constantly. Would recommend this place 10/10 while you are hanging around the cabbage town.

Been coming here since I was a kid and the latest owners are fantastic. You've got to try their mango Lassi. Really enjoyed my corn beef hash breakfast and the service was excellent.

Johnny G's Cafe is a hidden gem in Cabbagetown, Toronto. Best known for their grand breakfast dining, Johnny G's Cafe is now offering some exciting options on their dinner menu too.With antique painted wooden decor, paintings and furniture reminiscent of the decades gone by, Johnny G's Cafe sits beautifully on the Carlton-Parliament intersection, and an interesting option to dine with your friends and loved ones, while enjoying lovely music.We began our evening with crispy, tangy cauliflower bites. Served within colourful rings of mustard and tomato sauce, the bites had just the right amount of crunch and hakka-schezwan spice. I highly recommend it!Our main course was a delectable assortment of hakka cuisine. We gorged on Hakka Garlic Chicken gravy, and Hakka Noodles.Creamy Garlic Chicken had thin crispy chunks of the softest chicken resting beautifully in a milky, creamy, mildly sweet gravy. It paired so well with the Hakka Chicken Noodles (chef's recommendation). This is the stuff of champions!The Hakka Garlic Chicken gravy, on the other hand, balanced aptly with its creamy counterpart - tangy, spicy, with colourful juicy bell peppers mingling with fried chicken. It paired smoothly with steamed rice and beer. If only, all evenings ended on this note :)Special mention to the management for making the experience special with their in-house sauces and gravies, and a passionate interest in serving authentic food.

It doesn't look like much but this place is really special. I ordered eggs florentine was fantastic; the best I've had in Toronto, and I've tried many. The English muffin was fresh and nicely toasted, the eggs beautifully done and the hollandaise was smooth and delicious. complimentary fruit cup was a nice unexpected treat.The atmosphere is simple but warm and comfortable. Washrooms downstairs are clean and bright.

My all favorite breakfast spot.. with the open air balcony with those pretty flowers,it is a perfect spot to spend quality time with your loved ones. Also a great thing is your coffee is refilled instantly so you don’t have to worry. Can see so much positive changes after the new management took over. Love their attentiveness and the prompt service from their staff. Highly Recommend this place

I ordered Eggs Florentine and the cafe forgot to add the hollandaise sauce. They more than made up for it by sending me an extra cup of sauce plus a complementary fruit bowl. I really admire how they value their customers by going above and beyond. Not to forget, this dish has become my go-to brunch dishes :)
