Medicentres Family Care Clinics

This Medicentre used to be good, when there were more doctors. I have been a long-time client at the River bend location.Due to there being only 1 doctor everyday, (who is kind), but concerns are NOT being heard since there are so many patients he needs to get through. Each visit is just about getting us in and out as quickly as possible.I had to book 3 appointments in 1 week at one point - completely inconvenient and stressful.Even with an appointment you can be waiting an extra 2 hours to see the doctor.The past couple times I tried to book and they had no availability that worked in my schedule, so they suggested I walk in before 10am, but even doing that I couldn't get any slot.Doesn't make sense how a supposed walk-in clinic has 1 doctor.Unfortunately with my health issues this clinic wont work for me.Also, I know the front staff are busy and deal with multiple patients, but SOME (not all) of them are rude, unhelpful, and make you feel uncomfortable on first interaction.Moreover, I think all medical clinics should provide a note pad and pen at the front desk so that we don't have to explain certain issues out loud - the front person wasn't fully paying attention when listening to my concern - via multitasking I guess, and I had to repeat it to a full room of patients (so uncomfortable).

Friendly, fast and efficient. Super happy with the care my son received today. We made a fast track appointment and were in and out in 30 minutes.

I walked into this clinic on Thursday as my regular family doctor was on vacation. Dr. Syed Haider saw me quickly, answered my questions, and listened to my concerns. He was very calm and informative in his approach which I appreciated.

Receptionist started asking me personal health questions from her desk while I was sitting in the waiting room filled with other patients. They all heard why I was at the clinic, how I had injured myself, and where the pain was located. Super unprofessional. Doctor was helpful.

why are they even open..weird hours..couldn't take walk ins..can't even call to book for an appointment..front people some are nice some aren't..not so clean facility..good doctors here though..

Just horrible.... Open for another 4 hours but can't see a little girl for an ear infection. I understand the system dictates this but the manner of delivery is absolutely ridiculous!

We arrived in the early afternoon and were told to come back during the walk in window. When we arrived during the walk in window, we were told that we should have had an appointment and to leave. I understand that walk-in clinics fill up but the woman could not have been ruder, telling us that we should have had an appointment we could not get and that 20 minutes into the walk-in window is not a reasonable time to arrive. Now granted, it may not be and I must have overestimated how many appointments they’d be able to see. But the confrontational attitude in which we were treated like idiots for coming back when we were told to was not appropriate or professional.

After waiting for close to 90 minutes (around 9:30pm / 30 minutes after official closure), I have had the doubtful pleasure to meet Dr. Fung. I told him about my symptoms/concerns after being in ER a few days earlier. He not only brushed away the potential root cause of my problem without diagnosing my issue further, he didn't give me even a hint of a solution either. I had the impression it must have been a joke for him. The actual joke was his 'thorough' examination. In the end, all I got was a prescription to ease my inflamation for two weeks (which would kick in after about the same time), when I told him I won't be able to see my family doctor for the next 4 weeks. This is probably my worst experience in any clinic within Alberta, beside of the fact that neither of the two receptionists told me at any point, he would still still see me or simply being kicked out at some point after 9:00 pm. Beside of all that, the examination room appeared to be rather filthy. If I were you, I would try any other place before!

Waited outside in the cold with 8 other patients at from 8:30am to 9:20am waiting for clinic to open as hours online and on the door say 9am-9pm. Had to call another medi-centre clinic to find out they only open at 4pm today.As a courtesy to sick patients needing care - Maybe post a notice on your door or website when you are adjusting your hours so people don't waste their time in the cold and go else where for treatment.Absolutely unacceptable from a health care clinic. Do better.

Went there yesterday afternoon, it was a very pleasant experience for me and my son. Dr. Erickson is really patient and really take his time to listen to our concern. Definitely will come back if we need.
