Worthless organization. Made multiple complaints regarding 41 division police officers who are the most dishonest individuals ever witnessed. They all walk away without any discipline. All they had to do was deny anything happened. The investigator there is Lisa Grisolia who will do anything to discredit you and have her friends get off squeky clean and look like nice people.The OIPRD will do nothing and then close the file after a paper review". This process is an exercise in futility and they basically go through the motions to tell you you don't stand a chance of any resolve. Crooked cops being investigated by their colleagues. Go to hell OIPRD you belong there with 41 division"

Police investigating police. What could go wrong ? Absolutely useless organization. Defend the OIPRD.

It is useless to file a complaint or repor a pooice miscondict through OIPRD. Based on my first hand experienxe, OIPRD first tried to settle this complaint/ silent the issue as it is a minor issue. If you refused to settle with three police officer, they forwarded it to the Police Professional Standard Bureau. Having detectives to investigate the misconduct of police officer. The detective investigate my case had done nothing but trying to defend the police officer and trying to justify the officer's misconduct. They requested for my statement over and over again after 2 months. GUESS WHAT WAS THE INTENTION? What would be way easier 1) to interrogate you and find inconsistency in your statemenet" to dismiss your complaint? 2) reprimand their colleague from a different department ? All they have done for the past 3 months is to try to undermine the misconduct and prove the the police officer was guilty . They tried to mislead me

Extremely effective if you just bother to follow up on your report. I, personally, had an officer be very discourteous and deny me access to a store based on my living situation. The Detective took my statement, took my footage and appropriate action was taken regarding said officer. (Confidentiality, omitted details) To all the 1-Stars, try following up on your complaints. Don't just report and wait, bug them about the case file. The squeeky wheel gets the grease.

I would say this office is very efficient and justice if you have evidence and base for your complaint. There is an extremely deceitful so-called lawyer named Tina Hlimi who not only shamelessly used me for fraud (there are so many details to talk about this slippery shameless woman), but also asked her PC friend to intimidate me for the ungrounded harassment after I posted her fraud online. This PC wasn't interested in Tina Hlimi's misconduct, which is also a criminal offense. Instead, he told me that I couldn't give her bad reviews. His co-worker even told me that if he saw one more bad review, he would give me a charge. I then filed a complaint against this PC for doing something that is outside the scope of his job. Within one month an officer from OIPRD contacted me, and within two months I got justice.Thanks to the OIPRD officer as well as OIPRD for giving me an opportunity to speak out. It makes me feel that there's still justice, not like some other organization who is protecting this deceitful lawyer and covering her fraud while it's so obvious to tell it's a fraud.

What a joke! Not independent investigation at all. An 8th Grader would have done better, the 2 investigators assigned have actually worked with the ones they were investigating. Total corruption, don’t waste your time complaining regarding OPP officers not doing their jobs

I complained about peel police and upon my calling them again and again they send me a letter without asking me a single question or writing me an email response.Indeed that is a bigger issue if they would have investigated.In my case thieves are known since 3 months and peel police did nothing so far. And I complained but honestly this so called BOARD is a totally wastage of tax payer money. Look their reviews. They do not take complaints serious, even where police have violated their policy, code of conduct or chater of rights. The director say he will not go forward because it does not met public interest" but if there are violations why does that matter they should deal with it."
