Extremely cool and functional art. Way different than the usual pottery studios I have been to. Peter (the artist) was amazing to me and my family as he guided us around his studio. If you live in the area, or on your way to the cottage, be sure and check it out.

My husband and I just love the mugs we bought at Peter's studio. His work is unique and a lot of fun. Peter is also an excellent teacher. My 91 year old mother has been taking pottery classes with Peter for the past 2 years and it is the highlight of her week. She herself was a potter but dementia has affected her short term memory. Peter knows just how to cue her step by step and she is delighted to be working on the wheel again. Thank you Peter!Peta

My favourite place to shop for gifts. My house is already full of his work. My family and friends love receiving their pottery gifts.Love the variety of his pieces especially his knitting bowls and flower holders with the frogs.

Here’s the thing. Anybody can bring flowers, and a good bottle of wine when invited over for dinner. Wanna get invited back? Do what I did.1. Knock on the door of Blind Alley Arts.2. Meet a cool guy named Peter (I know... Peter the potter. Funny huh?)3. Buy a sexy lookin fruit bowl.4. Fill the bowl with a whopping $3 worth of fruit.5. Present it to your host when you arrive and tell them “When I saw this at a studio I was visiting (this makes you instantly interesting btw) I thought it would look really nice at your place” (or in your cottage, dining room, man cave, kitchen, boat, backyard, whatever - you get the idea).6. Witness all other guests as they wonder “What’s wrong with me? Why am I not as thoughtful as this guy?”7. Get invited to many more dinner parties at many more places because people will start to know you as that cool, thoughtful guy who hangs out at art studios and knows a real life artist named Peter AND who brings really nice gifts in exchange for tasty food and good company.

I liked Peter as soon as I met him and so will anyone else who takes the time to drop in to Blind Alley Arts. His creations are all so unique and well made. I love some for their whimsy and some for their elegance and function. Every time I visit there is a new piece I simply must have. My go to Wedding gift is now always a handcrafted piece with the couples name and wedding date on the bottom. Do your self a favor and pop in. You will be glad you did.

Peter's work is playful, with unique forms and colours catching the eye. But handling the pieces you find how well crafted they are, their shape and weight making them wonderfully functional.Peter's work (and personability) led me to taking lessons with him. He is as skilled a teacher as artist and praise for progress is balanced with encouragement to do a little better each time. I have learned to appreciate the incredible skill and attention to detail he puts into his own work!

We commisioned Peter to create mugs to celebrate the 10th anniversary of ROQUA (Ridiculously Old Queen’s University Athletes). They were unique fashionable works of art treasured by all ten members of the group. We meet yearly and it was our pleasure to host this milestone event in 2015. We wanted to have gifts for everyone to commemorate the event. Peter did not disappoint!Blind Ally Arts has a variety of excellently crafted pottery items. “Peter the Potter” is a talentented artisan who creates masterpieces at every turn of the wheel.Derek and Helen Mackesy

What a great place. We have bought pottery a number of times from Peter and keep coming back for more. He makes wonderful art as well as functional pieces. We really appreciated how Peter made a custom large bowl for us that matched our decor and is now a focal point of our new renovated kitchen. Highly recommend him.
