The time was 7pm monday may 8 me and my husband and 9 year old son stopped in for quick dinner as I'm me the area and been here a few times and loved the food! We were greeted quickly by our server and ordered our drinks, upon delivery of our drinks our male server literally dumped a glass of BEER ON MY 9 YEAR son. My aim was very emphatic for the man, whom all he had to say was oh sorry that's never happened before! At first I felt bad until I went to washroom and seen him explainijg to others behind the bar how he dumped beer on my child and laughing... Then my good came out without my app ever arriving when asked where my app was he responded oh ummmm it's didn't come out yet weird? So ok I been a server for 22 years I knew clearly he didn't punch it in! Then he walked away without a second thought. Apon receiving our bill he said I took your son's 5 dollar meal off the bill, then said he was sorry about forgetting to ring in my app that he was embarrassed! Absolutely completely unprofessional I got the Reuben and honestly was def not what I would expect would never order that again... So disappointed today my son was drenched in beer while he ate disgusting

Busy Friday night and service was quick. The kitchen turned out my order of wings in great time. The wings were a nice size, juicy, and crisp. I had the mild sauce which is a bbq base, but that had enough zip to avoid blandness.Great experience, will be back.

Enjoyed the marble planks, lobster & crab Mac & cheese, & the portobello chicken. Everything was hot, flavourful, & delicious. Atmosphere was cozy, & server was friendly & attentive. We did wait a while for our entrees, but it was worth it in the end! Serving sizes were large & super filling!

When the argyle street grill first opened it was amazing! As time has gone on the service has diminished and the food quality has gone down. The last 5 times I have gone we either waited way too long even for drinks, the food was incorrect, burnt, or a lack there of. Even take out was incorrect, burnt, or poor portioning. Very disappointed. I have lived in Caledonia for 20 years and have seen it turn from the St. George arms to the grill and it’s a shame. I had a birthday dinner planned that was completely ruined by disappointing service when we ordered take out and they screwed up the order, gave it to someone else, never apologized, and did not seem to care that they made my family member stand and wait an hour.

Calm, cozy place to enjoy lunch. Friendly service and delicious food go hand in hand at this place. Definitely recommend their Cauliflower bites/ wings. If you fancy a good spice you will enjoy these for sure.

A great foodie experience! Great nacchos! Lots of room, inside and out. Shady patio has lots of room and cool breeze. Service was kind of slow but still friendly.

Been here twice. Both for dinner. Had burger and fries recently and fish and chips previously. Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Room was noisy as is open and a large group if people were having lunch. People were lined up prior to opening the restaurant doors.

Update August 16, 2022:I went for a late lunch at 1:45pm. I was not in a hurry and dining alone. I expected to be greeted at my table once I was sat down by the hostess. It was almost 10 minutes before someone came to ask if I wanted something to drink. I ordered both my drink and food at that time. The food was eventually brought. I had ordered a French onion soup, which I really love there, and the girl didn’t bring me a spoon to eat it with. She stated she would go get one and never returned ever! I got up and asked the hostess if she could get me a spoon and told her that the girl never returned with it which left me sitting there with soup getting cold and nothing with which to eat it. The waitress (another one) brought me the spoon and I said that no one brought it for me and she said ‘that’s okay’ and I stated actually it’s not because I had nothing to eat with and she walked away as I was speaking. No one came and checked on me to see how my lunch was doing. No one came to bring me the bill either. I again went to the hostess station and asked for the bill. I expressed my disappointment in the lack of service. She got my waitress who brought the machine when I asked for it. I go to this place weekly and have for the last few months due to the convenience of the location and the homemade food. I will NEVER return after this experience. I spent an entire hour not being served and not being treated as a valued customer at all. I do not recommend this place. They need to get organized with their staff. They were all over the place and didn’t appear to have any direction whatsoever. I understand working as a team but this was not happening here either. I wanted to ask to speak with the manager but it didn’t appear there was one present.Good homemade food. Everything is made to order so it’s best to give yourself some time to have your meal. I find it best to go at 1-1:30 to arrive after the crowd subsides.

Had an amazing meal on the patio tonight! Server was friendly and food was delicious. It was our first time here and won't be our last. Thank you for making our first patio visit after lockdown perfect!

Great food and atmosphere. Service is hit and miss. The online order system needs lots of work. The restaurant is kind of small so I've used the online order system pretty often. Mechanically it works fine, but the staff haven't gotten any order I've made on the system correct. Somethings always missing. The restaurant is happy to reimburse the customer for the order. I just want the entire order.
