Empress Palace Restaurant
We had never tried empress palace before. It had been suggested to us by some friends. They were right! It was fantastic food; every dish was delicious. We purchased the dinner for 4, salt and pepper prawns, dumplings and lemon soo gai! The service was fast and price was fair. We will definitely be back again! We ordered for delivery since we couldn’t visit the restaurant for sit down service.

I think it was ok. The food was nothing outstanding, but it is convenient for a quick lunch. I tried their lunch buffet priced at $16.99. The waitress was very friendly and attentive! The restaurant itself seemed outdated with needed renovations

Empress Palace Restaurant
It’s hidden in the northwest area of Royal Oak. We just noticed it as we drove by one day, so we decided to try their lunch buffet. It was a decent price and there were a lot of dishes. The dim-sum is home made and you can tell. The red bean lotus sesame balls are soft and fresh. My favourite are the deep fried pork filled dumplings. They were fresh and tasty! They had salt and pepper squid, fish fillets, ginger beef, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, and plenty of noodle dishes. For dessert, there was chocolate and vanilla ice cream, which was unexpected, but very welcomed. There’s also free 45 minute parking along the complex. The staff is friendly and came around often to fill our water and to take our plates. If you’re craving Chinese food and you’re up in that area, give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised.

Ordered take out from this place for the third time, food and service was excellent. The portion sizes were really good and filled to the top as it should be. The food was packaged neatly without any leaks or spills.Will continue to order from here again.Thank you

Took out, it was great. Well prepared and delicious. The dining room seems like it's not operating right now but I'd buffet here for sure.

Was hoping to try the buffet for dinner but it's only offered during lunch Fri-Sun now. Ordered a few chicken, prawn and beef dishes and won ton soup. The food was flavourful and vegetables were fresh, and not over-sauced nor too salty. Plan to come back to try the weekend lunch buffet as Chinese buffets are rare post-covid so it's good to see this restaurant still offering one at all.

It was our first time to dine here. We were 7 people and so ordered a set dinner menus since they didn’t have a buffet today. I made a reservation just in case so, our table has been ready. Because it was a middle of weekday and at lunch time, we were the only customer there. All foods were good and service was decent. Great place for large groups.

Won ton soup was delicious and very big for a single serving. Vegetable fried rice was full of vegetables. Singapore noodle was exactly what I wanted, they even adjusted the heat of the sauce for me!!Will definitely return!
