Castlegar Dog Park

Didn't go to dog park....went a d bashed RC trucks at bike park

Despite the tinder dry conditions Castlegar is really trying to create a park for everyone in the area to enjoy and it’s a work in progress but when it’s completed I believe that it will be really something! The surrounding pathways are well designed and serve to “warm up” your puppies on leash before “releasing the hounds” in the fenced dog park areas which are segregated by dog size so you can select which area you can let them play, there is also a beautiful beach area where the dogs can also run and play, the area is amply serviced with trash bins and doggy doo bags and as well water is provided for both humans and dogs! It’s well designed with dog safety and fun in mind probably one of the better designed dog parks in the province!

Best dog to visit when travelling the Crows Nest Highway through BC. Huge and fully fenced with lots of room to run and explore!

Lots of friendly dogs of all sizes.Great place to take your pup to go play and burn off some energy

Would be nice to have some lights. Otherwise it's a good enclosed space for your dog to run around. Beach part is the best

Fun spot to take your pup. There's a good group of owners that take their dogs there. Most people are respectful when it comes to cleaning up after their dog and my dog has a blast everytime we go.

Nice dog park. 3 separate areas: small dogs , large dogs, mixed run.The Mixed run area is large and well maintained. Grass is kept mowed in all areas. Water is provided (from May-Sept I believe). Benches in each run as well.In addition to the main park area, there is a river-access section up the path a short distance which is not 100% enclosed, but bordered in with the river as well. This section is tree filled and partially shaded, and has direct access to the very nice walking paths in the area.Poop bags are provided at the gate areas. Water in the top smaller enclosures.

Great Dog Park for all sizes,Spacious and Clean even has a water faucet for drinking, it is right next to Millenium Park which is more fun for the whole family.Lots of running space nature at its best

Great dog park for all pups to enjoy. There is small, large, and mixed sized dog areas. 4 fenced areas in total, one with water that has a nice beach we all can enjoy.

My pooch Odie had an official Mardi Gras style celebration the entire time he is in either the large dogs side or the small dogs side for he has the bravery of a bull mastiff and a rot wilder.
