Revera Eagle Terrace Long Term Care Home

Unprofessionalism, negative behaviors, lack of support from supervisors and staff, lack of support for residents' needs and care, disorganized, filthy, toxic environment, supervisors are ill-mannered and unladylike.

My mother has been at Eagle Terrace since Nov. 2022. She is relatively low maintenance and I've found that all the staff are very friendly and seem to be there to look after my mother's limited needs. So far, my mother and I am happy with Eagle Terrace.

I wrote the below review years ago and just wanted to post an update. My Mother has been a resident now for a couple of years and I have to say I am still very happy with the quality of care she is receiving. My Mother has Dementia and I feel the staff are doing an excellent job. My mother is happy and very well cared for. The home has a very loving and atmosphere and I couldn't be happier with the quality of service. Thank god I found Eagle Terrace when I did. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.I recently visited Eagle Terrace looking for a facility for my Mother. Eagle Terrace has a very warm homey feel to it. The staff at the facility have been there for years and I can see that the residents are very happy. I have visited over 15 Long Term care facilities in my search and Eagle Terrace is a total Jem. Absolutely do not place your loved ones here!! I have soooooo much to say and since my family is about to proceed with an investigation into why my father was taken to hospital at such a progressed state of kidney failure. I will post my results when investigation is completed. The doct6at hospital was shocked at the stage of his decline. My father died as a result of this kidney and respiratory failure. I agree 100 percent with the other reviews on the lack of compassion for patients and family. They used covid as an excuse and re scheheduled visitimes so as to make it more difficult for visitors. I have much much more to add and will do so again. I am acquiring all doctor records. This place causes a rapid decline of loved ones. My heart is broken from their kCk of treatment

Toxic environment. Very rude, unprofessional and disrespectful manners. Management are vultures. Managers seem to care about themselves and the ministry more than the residents. PSW's are lazy for the most part and do not accommodate to the residents' needs on time. They're a little aggressive towards them and impatient. There are limited resources available, and you have to pay out of pocket while implementing certain programs. Very unorganized. Staff don't follow the appropriate safety protocols and procedures during an outbreak, hence why there are constant outbreaks in this facility. Failed to see staff sanitize before entering a room. They make constant excuses and complain nonstop. I would disregard this place, and do better research on other LTC homes who follow the rules and regulations. The staff serve alcohol to residents without a smart serve license, and food license. They seem to favor people who have been there longer; managers are always away on vacation too. They fail to train you, and will not show you where anything is placed. You're on your own, and no one will care to help you. Too much catty staff who barely do their jobs properly. They sit around constantly and continue to gossip about each other, which was a constant distraction to those who wanted to get work done or were there to help the residents. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone who would like to work here or give this place a chance.

I am disabled and they make it impossible for me to visit my dad. Hans Fockers. Checking in at front door, go to back door for testing, then stand outside in rain for 15 min till test comes back then go to front door to enter building, there are stairs and a ramp I can't easily navigate. I made arrangements to do everything at back door but when I got there they see I'm disabled and said no one told them I can enter back door, and insisted I do it their way. When I said no, they said don't yell at me, my husband and I just were stunned as no one was yelling at anyone. I told nurse just because I said something you don't like, doesn't mean I'm yelling. She eventually let me in, like she was doing me a very big favor. A day later my 2 adult children called to say they tried to visit their grandfather on August 30th 2022 one was let in because she had been vaccinated and the other was refused because she wasn't. On June 24th 2022 the vaccination requirement for all visitors including general visitors was lifted. Why was my daughter refused? I think we are a target of discrimination. My complaint is not with the nurses that look after my dad, they are wonderful, but as a visitor I feel unwelcome and disrespected. I see you do not recognize any review you do not like and say they have no association with your nursing home. That is why I published my father's name. You have no excuse.

Friendly staff. The building is dark and old. Good security. I had to sign in and was met by the Head of Administration.

I live nearby, it seems to be a busy place. They decorate nicely and there are many ppl who enjoy the outside patio. Property is well maintained. In the heart of Newmarket and close to fairy lake, churches, restaurants and the hospital.
