I took a major fall approximately 9 months ago and I'm still having to have procedures done on my arm I called Nixon Wenger to get some assistance to deal with the superstore where I fell on the ice I spoke at length with a young lady and she said somebody will call me back a month-and-a-half later nobody called me back I called them and spoke with the same lady she was pretty indignant to me asking what took you so long why didn't you call me back?? Her answer was Lawyers get busy sometimes with no apology!!! And then she said they couldn't take my case because of conflict of interest didn't explain anything else and offered no apology... all they had to do was call me back that's what I good business practice would do!!

We chose Nixon Wenger because our family had used them years prior. We very much regret our decision. We were paired with Emily MacArthur when we called there and set up an appointment. My Mom had passed away very suddenly and we were heart broken. We took her will in and met with Emily MacArthur. Each time we met with her she was showed absolutely no compassion or empathy in any way shape or form. Twice during the process we received legal documents with the wrong names on them. Both times we emailed Emily MacArthur and her secretary. Each time the secretary responded, the first time she apologized and the second when we received someone else’s legal papers not even ours it was brushed off by another secretary. Never an apology from Emily MacArthur. We heard from her when more money was required to complete another step in the will.I most certainly would not recommend this lawyer for handling your loved one’s will.

We were provided exceptional customer service!I interviewed several lawyers from different law firms after my oldest daughter was a passenger in a MVA. From my first conversation with Mike Yawney I felt confident in his ability to represent her. Mike was genuinely compassionate towards my daughter, and was always available when she contacted him. Mike and his entire team treated my daughter with so much kindness and respect.Four months before her case was going to trial my two daughters were hit head on by a car that crossed the centre line. My oldest daughter had new injuries. My youngest daughter suffered a spinal fracture, which required surgery and months of therapy. Mike immediately called me, taking time away from his family during the Christmas holidays to make arrangements with professionals to assist us through her recovery. This allowed me to focus 100% of my attention on my daughter while she was in the hospital. When she was discharged from the hospital, the medical equipment required for her care had already been delivered to our home, and the arrangements for medical professionals to come and assist me were already made. Mike would not only call to check on the health of my two daughters, he would also call to see how I was doing and to ask if there was anything he could do for me. Both of my daughters felt comfortable and confident with Mike and his team throughout the entire process.Recently my daughter had an issue with a financial institution regarding her mortgage. Mike immediately offered his assistance and the matter was resolved in 3 business days.Thank you Mike for treating my daughters with so much care. I truly appreciate your knowledge, as well as your kindness that you provide to both your clients and their family. You have gone above and beyond!Monique

Tom Christiansen was absolutely the best. He was not only professional, but he was also personable. Legal matters around the death of a loved one are hard. Tom was sensitive, attentive to our situation, and very supportive throughout the executive process.

We met with James Cotter approx. 6 years ago for legal advice when we had nearly reached the end of our 2 years working with ICBC after a car accident. James was very patient, calm and professional as he reviewed our information and let us know how processes worked and what our expectations could be. He and his assistant Caitlin were always available for questions and even took calls from us on evenings and weekends. The process was long and we finally reached an end result this year. James had prepared us with the idea that it might take longer, so the time frame was not outside of our expectations. The end result was better than what we had thought and hoped for. We will always appreciate the hard work, care and dedication that James, Ryan and Caitlin put toward making sure we were looked after.
