I bought 6 of the freshest and sweetest bagels I have ever had. I ate all 6 before I got home 30 kms away. Wow, I'm still smiling. Mmm mmmmm good!

Delicious bagels! We had the mini everything bagels and they were hot when we picked them up. We ordered ahead on the website — a same day order, we had bagels in a few hours. Will definitely be back. Thank you!

I was so happy to hear Kingston had Montreal bagels and I was not disappointed with Nosh. They bagels are amazing, so fresh. Staff was super helpful as well, with a clear passion for their business and baking. Try the biscotti as well! So good! Will be back for sure

The bagels are great, super crispy Montreal style with lots of cream cheese at great prices, yet to try their smoked salmon but definitely will be!

My husband found Nosh while picking up our Thai takeout. He brought home poppy seed and onion bagels. Absolutely fabulous bagels! I had forgotten how good a fresh Montreal style bagel could taste. Nosh will definitely be one of our regular shopping stops from now on!

The staff was very friendly as I had a mistake with my order but it was fixed promptly! The bakery smelt heavenly, and I was in & out quickly. The bagels are great quality and delicious. We came to Kingston to marry from out of town. We love Montreal bagels so this was an early stop on our trip.We were warmly greeted by Jane, the proprietor. The bagels were fresh, tasty and on par with Montreal bagels. If you want to enjoy Montreal bagels while in Kingston, make Nosh your first stop.We are looking forward to many more visits.

My friends and family know I am a “nibbler”. I frequently “snack” during the day and night. Another term for this is noshing. Nosh is a Yiddish word for snacking. It is also the name of a new “small batch” bakery in Kingston. And if you haven’t visited it yet, you really must. It makes the best bagels not just in Kingston but in my opinion all of Ontario. Its speciality is Montreal style bagels. As we all know Montreal is famous for its bagels. None more so, than the Fairmount Bagel which has been serving them 24-7 since 1919. I was there Easter morning, and the line-up was down the street. I picked up two dozen to bring back with me to Kingston. Now I’ve never been a big fan of bagels, but then I had only eaten the run of the mill grocery store variety and the Fairmount’s bagels were a revelation. Then last week, I literally stumbled across Nosh at 306 Bagot Street. At first, I really couldn’t believe my eyes. Like Fairmount, it is tiny. Similarly, you can’t eat there. Unlike the Fairmount you do not have to pay in cash; they do take credit cards.I went in and bought four. Each one different: Plain, Sesame seeds, Everything and Rosemary. When, I got home I immediately got into one. This time I couldn’t believe my taste buds. They were delicious. Not only were they delicious but I liked them even better than the Fairmount’s.Now my beef with mass produced bagels is their density. Fairmount’s do them the right way in both ingredients and how they are baked but for me they were still a little too dense.Nosh on the other hand, not only has the taste right, and the chewability right but they are slightly less dense, and I loved them. The term that comes to mind is the title of Milan Kundera’s novel The Unbearable Lightness of Being.I cut them in two, lightly toast them, add cream cheese and a slice of good smoked salmon and the taste is to die for.The Nosh may still be Kingston’s best kept secret, but with Bagel’s like they are producing, it shouldn’t be too long before they too have customers lined up outside their door. But take note, they do not open until 11 a.m.Oh, and while your there be sure to pick up a package of their biscotti. I purchased the lemon and poppyseed, and a cranberry, only $1.00 a piece. Went, home and served up a quick Espresso and noshed my way to another delightful taste sensation.
