This is less of a big box store" and more of a neighbourhood and contractor lumber store. They have a large inventory of pine boards in most widths and lengths

I had the pleasure of dealing with Rona in Port hope with two homes i have built and in the last 14 years John their main sales guy, was nothing short than amazing, from great pricing to great service and not to mention great advice. Knowledgeable, punctual and second to none in my view.For anyone who is on the hunt for great service along with great price, look no further .Thanks again for all your help JohnFrank

Would give 0 stars if we could. We were close to Port Hope but are not locals and decided to stop in while we had a truck to pick up some salt for our softener. The cashier refused to sell us the salt needed because “they are saving it for locals”. She suggested we could go to Peterborough Rona instead which is farther from our home and if Rona has a policy to not sell to people who live outside of town then it would be another pointless trip. Extremely unfriendly and not welcoming.

Ordered a coffee table online. Pick up was easy. Staff were very kind and helpful and helped me load it into my car.

Always very quiet in this store. I think it's an old Cashway lumber yard. Helped me obtain door and lock hardware that matched my builders installs.

$5.00 cost you $5000!!I bought some trim today and within 20 minutes I returned because I had purchased the wrong product. One of the 4 items was defective and apparently one of them had a crack in it. I have been there a few times and spoke to the same guy. The guy told me he had 12 years as a contractor and he flat out told me that he knew I rammed it into the door and broke it and wasn’t willing to help me out.I am a new contractor and I had a lumber order in my pocket that I was about to order for another client. Well, after that exchange, I went to Home Depot!!Thanks for making my shopping choices easier!!

Good place to shop for building products. Great ideas and great people like Renata help me out thank you.. will be back for more shopping am doing my basement and fence ..wow!!

This store was the only one around that had the lumber we needed and when we needed to exchange a few pieces, Garth was amazing. The customer service is exceptional I would recommend this store to anyone looking for building supplies
