Great service and food. The chicken with mole is incredible, the sauce is so rich and creamy, I think irlt would be hard to find anything better in the city. The cocktails are good too. Many more things here that looked good, will be back to try more!

First time at Ophelia. Loved the atmosphere and ambience. Presentation of food was nice. Tried the D.O.V menu, lovely experience but the quesadilla was way too salty for my liking. The flan dessert was amazing! Fernando was an awesome and friendly server. Got to sit by the mural it was beautiful!

My recent visit to Ophelia in Vancouver was unfortunately less than satisfactory due to several issues that need to be addressed for a better dining experience. The service at Ophelia was inconsistent at best. Although the hostess who initially took our drink order was friendly, the main waiter did not demonstrate a good grasp of how to appropriately pace the serving of meals. Our appetizers and main courses were served together, leading to a cluttered table and our main dishes cooling down while we were still eating our appetizers. The food temperature was a major issue throughout the meal. All the dishes were served cold, which greatly detracted from the taste and overall dining experience. The bone marrow tacos, for example, contained chewy meat, which combined with the low temperature, made for a less than enjoyable dish. The absence of courtesy tostadas and salsas, commonly offered in similar restaurants, was a notable omission. This lack of attention to detail was disappointing and made the dining experience feel less hospitable. Moreover, the process of getting our bill was unnecessarily prolonged. It took more than 30 minutes for us to receive our bill after we had requested it, an excessive wait that did not contribute positively to our overall dining experience.Ophelia needs to address these issues to improve its dining experience. The service timing, food temperature and quality, and attention to detail all require significant improvement.Another point of disappointment was a missed opportunity to acknowledge a special occasion. During our reservation, we mentioned that we were celebrating my girlfriend's 30th birthday. Unfortunately, this was not recognized during our visit. A simple acknowledgment or gesture could have added a personal touch to our experience, even in light of the other issues.Despite the issues mentioned above, it's only fair to note that Ophelia did shine in one area: their cocktail menu. The two cocktails we ordered were well-crafted and flavorful, adding a bright spot to our dining experience. It suggests that with attention and care, there are aspects of the restaurant that can truly impress. This feedback is given in the hope that the management will take these points into consideration and implement necessary changes. It would be pleasing to see these improvements realized for the benefit of future diners (if ever decided to go back).

food was incredible! service was fantastic! but music was WAY TOO LOUD! can’t even hear yourself think in there. would be 5 stars if they turned the music down… unfortunately atmosphere is club like..so it depends what you like! Not very kid friendly, not very accessible for mentally or physically disabled but i’m sure if you asked the servers would make accommodations.

Weirdest way of serving enchiladas that my Mexican friends were shocked. It tasted good, but I prefer to have it in a traditional way. That kind of serving seemed unnecessarily striven. The guac and chips were AMAZING. The service was horribly slow, and our server was careless.

It was fine. Pretty overpriced. Nothing really stood out as excellent. My favorite dish was the Tuna Tostada. The bone marrow tacos were highly recommended by friends of mine so I ordered them but they just tasted like lard and mayonnaise. I understand why people would find them appealing but I prefer more balanced flavors rather than the pure richness of the bone marrow taco.

Ophelia offers Mexican flavour but bougie. Their food is delicious and colourful, plated very nicely, but always make sure to double check the spice level. They have a big cocktail selection, and servers are usually quite nice and helpful. Their dinner atmosphere feels quite bougie as it is candlelit, but their day/brunch vibe can be a bit more casual, especially during patio season. I've been here a few times, and although the food is always enjoyable, these are a few of the downsides: The music inside can be quite loud, making it difficult to have conversations at regular voice levels. It can also be super hard to get a last minute table during the weekends, but you can always call and check. The last thing is that the food is on the expensive side (IMO), so if you're ordering food and cocktails the bill will rack up quickly.Overall, great food and service for a non-casual night out.

First time here and I was blown away. Would highly recommend the bone marrow tacos, but my favourite dish had to be the Molcajete de arrachera y camaron. That was one of the most flavourful, incredible dishes I have had in recent months!

Came here with my family the other day. Had an amazing take out experience so we wanted to try it out in person. First thing that left a great impression was how easy they make it to make reservations. Just make it online and no fuss with leaving a card for a deposit or other hoops to jump through like at other restaurants. The decor is very modern and funky. We asked for a passion fruit margarita and even though they didn’t have it on the menu, the waiter graciously got them to make it for us. It was the best margarita I’ve ever had anywhere. Just the right amount of sweetness too. Ordered the al pastor tacos which were out of this world amazing. We also ordered the octopus to try which was succulent and tender. The sauce was sweet which was a nice surprise as we thought it would be more savoury. We ended the meal with churros and the tres leches cake, both of which were divine. Don’t skip out on the dessert! Great experience, great service and amazing food. Will be our new go to Mexican joint, without a doubt!
