Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens
An enchanting haven of nature offering a stunning array of native plant species, with interpretive signage. There is also a medicinal garden and a greenhouse where you can learn about the research conducted at Acadia University. If the native flora of Nova Scotia is of interest to you, this is an absolute must-visit destination in Wolfville. If you plan to visit the wetland areas, come prepared for swarms of mosquitoes.

A beautiful venue. And a little canteen in the foyer for coffee and snacks. Washrooms a level below (2 flights of stairs), there is an elevator.

I loved that these gardens were native Acadian forest plants and plants brought by early settlers to the maritimes. You can also look a current horticulture research being done at the university.Very peaceful, beautiful, and informative place!

Terrific location. Free entry. I used this space to shoot some engagement photos for friends and we all loved the results. Indoor and outdoor beauty, lots of light. We were only there for 30-45 minutes and barely explored half.

Probably one of, if not the nicest (architecturally/aesthetically) regularly open public buildings in Wolfville to come visit. Lots of space to work and the gardens are beautiful year-round. It's not technically a quiet" building but the main room is often treated like a library - expect a few glares if you answer a phone call and start talking loudly (I don't mind this - it's nice to have a quiet space like this). That being said

Beautiful collection of flora in one of the most biodiverse public gardens in Atlantic Canada. A true gem donated by the Irving Family on the Acadia University campus. It is connected to the gorgeous K.C Irving Environmental Centre. A must-see when visiting the Annapolis Valley.

I loved visiting these gardens with my family. There are nice walking trails around the property, and the plants are arranged by ecosystem. It was great getting a feel for where you can find these plants in nature. Also there are signs that give you history of human use with these plants, written in I believe English and the Mi'kmaq language.

This is a tranquil beautiful place to stroll around. There is a large Central area. The only downfall I seen was that there are several entrances and once it starts to get around dusk I would not recommend walking alone.

We arrived a little early in the season and so we're not able to see many of the flowers that were in bud but not yet bloom. There's a really nice brook with a small waterfall that takes you down into a bog area. There's also a hot house where you can watch botanists work with plants. We arrived early in the season and there was no entrance fee.I'm not sure if there's an entrance fee during season. This is a great stop if you happen to be riding by but not really a destination.
