Have been to this restaurant twice now. The food and drinks are fantastic. The ambiance and decor are lovely. My husband had the gnocchi most recently. I had the Chilean sea bass, which was exquisite! We’ve tried pretty much all the appetizers: all are great; meatballs and sambuca shrimp are out top choices. Definitely a must if you’re looking for some fine dining in Sarnia.

VERY DISAPPOINTED - brought my wife there for a later bite to eat in the day. Wife had mussels, and I had a Caesar Salad and asked the server to just have a couple shrimps popped on top. Nothing big. Expected two or three, no different than adding chicken or something like that. When we received the bill, she billed me for a full order of shrimp! We expected no more than $5-$6 dollars for the extra. The shrimp were $20!!!!!!!! MORE than the friggen salad! My tiny salad became a $35dollar salad!!!! Service was out the window and the server was uninterested. Rather than check on us, she was nowhere to be found. Instead of complaining, we just left -knowing I’d write this later. We’ve both been servers. We understand. This however was ridiculous and unprofessional. Beware ………

We had a wonderful birthday lunch today and it was lovely! The atmosphere had an upscale vibe, yet really welcoming too. My Mum & I really enjoyed our meals and the food was really on point! From presentation to taste, everything was excellent! Thank you to our fine young gentleman server, you were wonderful! Highly recommend for a special lunch date!

I was there on Mother's Day. Extra tables were cramed in and made it difficult to navigate. It was hot, stuffy, and very loud. Our server was good, but a person helping with water to the tables was very clumsy spilling drinks with no apology. In the past, service and atmosphere were excellent.

A group of 8 for our night out and the experience was a great one. Staff, management and chef were on point ! Jack (restaurant manager) checked in several times and made our evening that much better. Appetizers, main course and dessert was excellent. They certainly delivered tonight. Thank you !

I cannot say enough about this restaurant and staff. The food was amazing and we were treated so well. So much ambience. Be sure to request a booth. The manager was so knowledgeable and recommended a wine we loved so much. We ordered a bottle for our room the next night. The server was wonderful as well. Go treat yourself and have at Legacy dinner. And while we were added stay at the hotel Insignia. Beyond fantastic. Thank you!

We have been dining at Legacy Restaurant for the past 1 1/2 years & I am happy to see that Jack, the former manager, has returned & is now running the restaurant. It once again has a Fine Dining atmosphere that it once had (...but lost!!!) along with a very happy attitude among the staff. He has plans to update the menu (which is already very good) & is looking into opening for lunch on certain days & possibly a Sunday Brunch. We look forward to these new ideas & will continue to dine there regularly. If you're looking for a night out where the food, service & atmosphere are excellent, check it out!

We enjoyed such an absolute gorgeous meal out for my Moms birthday dinner!Our waitress was Swas and she was just so sweet and delightful! Quick, friendly and polite service from all the wait staff in the restaurant!We ordered the Sambuca Flambéed Shrimp, the Margret Duck and the Wild Boar Chop.The flambéed shrimp was delicious, the shrimp cut into large butterfly pieces with a creamy white garlic sambuca sauce with green onions. We quite literally cleaned the plate with the bread provided! 9/10!The Duck in my opinion was absolutely delicious but my mom mentioned it wasn’t her favourite. Plated with yummy scalloped potatoes and plenty of veggies! 7/10!The Wild Boar was the winner of the whole meal. An absolute beast of a meal. So much food on that plate!! Absolutely delicious with crispy edges and mushroom medley to pair which was so yummy. Only complaint I think it was a little over cooked. Still was delicious so really no complaints. 10/10!!!Paired with the delicious Tomasi Ripasso Red Wine on their constantly updated wine menu and some fabulous Amaretto Sours made by Jack, we were absolutely stuffed by the end. Such a great dinner!If you’re looking to impress, THIS IS THE PLACE!

I went with my girlfriendI had the steak and she had the salmonI cannot speak for herMy meal was delicious and the presentationwas very tastefulI did get the extra mushrooms and onions which was not scrumptious but I was not chargedWhat was disappointing are the paris prices but not the ambianceOur waitress was very nice but her outfit lacked pizzazzThe young man who brought out the meal had extremely poor communication skillsThe gentleman who brought the drinks screwed up the order and forgot to iron his shirtIt was not elegant by any stretchI must admit we were outside so I did not see the decor or the bathrooms but in the end I was expecting more for the value

Hands down the best restaurant in Sarnia - I ordered the rosé gnocci and it was amazing! You can tell it was all homemade, because the gnoccis were pillow-soft. It's a bit on the expensive side (and that's coming from someone who lives in Toronto), but the portion was huge - I had enough leftovers for lunch the following day.
