Love the chain - in fact, my fave pet store of them all. Hate going to this location and only this location. Is it clean? Yes! Is it well stocked? Absolutely. The reason I hate this location in particular is because the staff are so off putting/mean for no reason at all.Someone on google reviews said it's because of a racial thing because they've received less than satisfactory service as well. While I'm not 100% sure this is the case, I wouldn't be surprised because it's not the first time I've received different treatment than someone else.First, the vibes are never friendly when you walk in. You're met with half a greeting or perhaps a long stare and you just feel very unwelcome here. Once a month, dog influencers" are given a code for all their followers on IG to use and it takes $10 off your entire purchase with no minimum

I’ll give this store 2 stars just based on the quality products Ren’s Pets stores usually carry. Unfortunately there have been several instances of unfriendly staff at this location ever since this store opened. I don’t know why some staff act like the customer is being a nuisance or as if they’re doing you a huge favour just because you ask a question or need something.Not all staff are unhelpful or unfriendly, but it happens more than it should.A good example would be the cash/till was left empty today, where a few customers and I were waiting a few min. It wasn’t especially busy in the store. I had just walked by a few of them in the middle of the store who were chatting. I heard one of the workers just loudly say “I’m coming” in a less than friendly tone. Maybe some of the staff don’t realize how they are projecting themselves but they need to be reminded about body language and how customers can come across this as negative.There is an Aurora location just a short drive away and I have always had an amazing experience there. I wish it could be said about the Newmarket location.

Alyssa and Ryan were so amazing and so helpful. They went above and beyond, even getting on the ground to assist me putting on a harness, and continuing to welcome every customer into the store as they came in. Amazing customer service!! They had great recommendations too!

Fantastic customer service, helpful and friendly. They were promoting their diverse raw food selection, gave out generous samples. Provided insightful pamphlets to introduce customers to feeding their pets a raw diet. Nice store, look forward to returning.

Absolutely incredible place with some of the most epic staff I have ever had the pleasure of encountering! We bring our phoebe in here as often as we can as they simply adore her and she loves coming in! The amazing toy selection, the food selection, great selection it is all top notch! And all at good prices! They truly do care about your pets and will be happy to answer any question you may have or find the answers for you! The store is now my go to place, and my puppers loves going with me, I can’t say good enough things about this store!To all the staff, thank you so much! You guys absolutely rock! From helping us find stuff, offering advice, and even just loving phoebe as much as her mom and I do! You guys truly have made a huge difference in my dogs life and have been able to help us provide her with hours of great memories and smiles with toys, treats and adventures in store!

I think the Newmarket one is the best Ren’s Pets I have been visited. The staffs are very friendly and happy to help. They also show great love to my dog. Feel very good in this store.

Weird stuff and unpleasant shopping experience. The cashier (a guy) asked for original post of any coupon, not accepting screenshots (no other Renspet had ever asked for that); and unwillingly to apply coupon on online orders (the Aurora store would happily offered that they can redo the order and apply coupon). I have to do what my manager told me to doooo" that stuff
