We are continuing our quest to try different restaurants around Walnut grove, this one we had been wanting to try for a while.The vibe was good, bathroom is clean, service was great. Made a reservation, and got seated almost immediately.We enjoyed our experience overall.Unfortunately, the main issue I have is food taste just average. Maybe we are expecting more from this restaurant group, and we are comparing to the wrong restaurants. I think Earls, and Cactus has better food.

Took my mom out for dinner here, we got there after 5 and dined until 6:45. We ordered the seafood platter and had wine, the experience was good as was the food, until we settled up. Server came over and told us that she had a reservation coming in 5 minutes but no rush.. we were never told about a reservation upon seating. I was pleased with the meal, but to pay our bill and be rushed out while still having a half full glass of wine.. not acceptable.

I ordered from Master Chicken on UberEats which is based out of S&L LangleyI ordered 8 pieces of chicken, Mac and cheese, Mac salad, fries and added creamed corn ($4) I sub’d 1 piece for breast ($4) and ordered an extra gravy ($3) cuz 1 comes with the orderI only got 1 small gravyThis is blandest, Mac & ‘cheese’ I’ve ever had. It’s literally macaroni with breadcrumbs ontop. There’s no cheese whatsoeverThe chicken was very dry and some of the pieces were the size of a chicken nugget. Sone were very soggy like they were sitting in oil.The whole meal was overly disappointing. I’ve had the master chicken before at S&L numerous time and frequent there quite a bit. I have a knife with my name on it so I’ve been a customer for years. This meal was very bland, dry and underwhelming

Goggle maps is a bit off as it says you've arrived while you are still on the main road. I had to turn around in the next business parking lot, head back towards the main road, and drive to the far end of their parking lot to actually arrive.While en route, I called to make a reservation and was put on hold for 12 minutes, so I hung up and called back twice. It went to voicemail both times, and the message said for reservations they'd reply within 24 hours, so I didn't bother leaving a message. When I arrived there were lots of tables open, which was expected on a Monday. The server apologized and explained there was an error at head office, and their phone had been cut off for a few hours because it hadn't been paid.I had the lobster chowder; which was creamy, rich, and had chunks of seafood (see image). It was delicious. I also had the Aburi salmon bowl, which at $28.50 was not quite worth it. The slab of salmon was good (despite one almost burnt edge), but the base was better at Steve's Poke and Pacific Poke.I liked the high ceilings, wood panels, and knives embedded in the wall. Unfortunately, the air conditioning kicked in a few times during the meal, and it was 7C outside. The server apologized for that too, and explained that it's controlled by head office.

Horrible service. Horrible food. Price for oysters up to $2.25 for happy hour and I’ve never seen oysters so small. Steak bites were a rip off, it was equivalent to a couple pieces of beef jerky, diced up. Will never be back.

I had made a reservation for my parents before and they said the food was amazing and the service they provided was fantastic.So I brought my siblings for myself this time and yes, they are just amazing.Oysters were so FRESH, chowder was great, pasta and steak were perfect.On top of this, the servers were very friendly!Highly recommend this place not only for the anniversary but also the casual date out!

This Trendy casual hot spot has a great vibe and the food and service were outstanding. Definitely in the league as the Keg; cactus club etc.I gave 4 stars for atmosphere because we did find it a bit loud. The decor is trendy and awesome.Oysters are incredible and the dark chocolate apple pie sphere was amazing.

Spent our NYE lunch here and it didn’t disappoint. It was our second time here and we had a great one again. We ordered their Rib Eye, Top Sirloin, Mac and Cheese Bites, Steak Frites, Oysters and Chocolate Chip Cookie. We each all had free glass of Proseco today. Their food was top notch, service was great, ambience was instagrammable and price is affordable. Special thanks to our server Farrah who also took our photos as well as the sous chef Kae and Anton, your food was awesome! We will surely be back.

After passing by almost daily, I finally decided it was time to check out S&L Kitchen! I just happened to be starving after a hike, and it was happy hour! The food and ambience surpassed my expectations.We got there around 3:30pm, and the patio was half full. Lots of space and ample parking. Unlike many restaurants, the music wasn’t overly loud so you can have a conversation. There were only 2 servers, but they were busy and working hard.We got 6 oysters ($2.25 each), the Wagyu beef dip, and S&L cheeseburger. The oysters were very fresh and pretty decent sized, and the burger and beef dip were perfectly done!! So tasty, as were the fries. There was so much food between myself and the other diner (a guy), we had to pack some food to go. Overall it was a fantastic experience, and I would come back in a heartbeat!

This 5 star is based on the happy hour.I’d say S&L has the best happy hour menu in Langley. We went for a late night 9pm on seating and I was shocked at how many options were on this happy hour menu, not to mention they were good options. You can get a $3 craft beer which is impossible to find. The food was great too, fresh oysters, crab rolls, and tons of other shareables. You can have a good date night for under $50. Highly recommend
